Position Overview

The "Accounts Receivable Clerk" is responsible for servicing internal and external customers by compiling and maintaining accurate accounts receivable records and to ensure payments are posted in a timely manner for services or goods that were provided.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process daily sales edits, coordinating with Sales Team
  • Apply customer payments, credits and adjustments
  • Reconciliation of daily postings to the bank statement
  • Initiate calls to customers pertaining to payment issues
  • Create and maintain documentation of a key processes and activities within individual scope of responsibility
  • Identify recommend and implement process improvement initiatives to drive simplicity, automate, remove non-value-added work, and standardize processes
  • Comply with all CRH procedures, policies, and documentation requirements; while maintaining SOX Compliance
  • Cross train in other areas of AR
  • The ability to handle and organize a large volume of emails daily and responding in a timely manner
  • Multiple applications running at the same time to achieve all tasks (able multitask)
  • Problem solving to understand billing issues and working with others to make sure the customers Invoices are correct and accurate.
  • Other work as assigned

Requirements
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Able to work independently with a heavy emphasis on attention to detail
  • Able to follow direction and work effectively in a team environment or independently
  • Communication is critical in this position - working with both the Sales & Finance Teams
  • Able to handle and organize a large volume of emails daily and responding in a timely manner
  • Able to respond to stressful situations, co-workers, and customers in a professional, courteous manner
  • Able to effectively prioritize assignments to meet long-term and short-term deadlines
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc.)
  • Must submit to a drug screen and criminal background check


Education/Experience
  • High school Diploma or GED equivalent
  • One to three years related experience
