The Center for Healing within Cooper University Health Care is a leading Addiction Medicine provider within Camden County and Southern New Jersey, as well as the Southern New Jersey Medications for Addiction Treatment Center of Excellence (SNJMATCOE). This role will support the work of the SNJMATCOE by managing a variety of grant and project related activities. This will include:

  • Managing ongoing projects and new initiatives within the Center for Healing’s program portfolio of varying degrees of complexity and risk from inception to successful completion. 
  • Working with stakeholders and community partners to facilitate education, mentoring, collaboration, and networking across Southern New Jersey and beyond as a representative of the SNJMATCOE.
  • Ensuring grant deliverables are met according to funder contracts
  • Working with data analyst to develop data collection processes and ensure the submission of timely and accurate reports to funding agencies.
  • Scheduling, coordinating, and facilitating trainings for the SNJMATCOE training project.
  • Tracking all grant related expenditures and monitoring the use of grant funds against the approved project budget.
  • Identifying and sourcing potential grant revenue opportunities that match the goals of the Center for Healing.
  • Preparing grant applications and proposals for submission to government, foundation, and corporate entities.
  • Managing special projects including development of new projects under the SNJMATCOE.  
  • Does not directly supervise staff, but will lead work of the team, and may supervise staff in the future.

 

1.           Manage projects

Manages multiple projects of varying degrees of complexity and risk from inception to successful completion.    Effectively applies Cooper PMO methodology and enforces project standards.

2.           Leads project Planning

Documents the scope and objectives of assigned projects.  With the support of the team and sponsors, develops a comprehensive and well planned method for fulfilling project scope and objectives.  Identifies skill sets, team roles and financial resources needed to accomplish project goals. Creates reliable project resource estimates, project work plans, and timelines. 

3.           Scope Management

Manages project scope throughout project, documenting and escalating for approval scope changes, in order to understand and plan for the impacts of the change.

4.           Manages Project Team

Provides team leadership throughout the project. Oversight and management of team members, addressing team cohesion, conflict management, independent work, on time delivery, performance mentoring, motivation, and evaluation. 

5.           Project Communication

Communicates effectively with relevant project staff and stakeholders.  Develops and executes project communication plans, specific to the project and appropriate for all levels of the organization.  

6.           Meeting Facilitation

Prepare for and lead project meetings, including team meetings, sponsor meetings, vendor meetings, etc.   Manages meetings, keeping on agenda and time, addressing attendee over or under participation, closes out meeting with topic summary and documented action items.  Distributes meeting minutes.

7.           Manage risk and issues

With support of team, identifies tracks and develops solutions for issues and risks.  Escalates issues appropriately and timely. Develops contingency plans to mitigate issue and risk impact.
