Short Description
The Critical Care Tech Program Instructor is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the CUHC training program. The Instructor is responsible for delivery and maintenance of all lecture and skills assessments for all required NHA Patient Care Tech Program content; evaluation of student performance; leading case-study scenarios and class discussion, skills instruction; written examinations; providing oversight and guidance for clinical rotations and remediation in congruence with relevant policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the CUHC training program.
- Serves as lead faculty for the CUHC Critical Care Tech Program for both classroom, skills lab and clinical rotations ensuring student competence.
- Stays in alignment with up to date evidence based practice guidelines ensuring that all instructional material is relevant.
- In compliance with regulatory requirements, ensures student competence for changes in current practice, proper use of new or revised procedures or equipment that align with hospital initiatives, while promoting quality patient and family centered care.
- Collaborates with other departments to provide clinical opportunities for students enrolled in the program ensure that all clinical requirements are met.
- Promotes a positive learning environment, evaluating and accommodating student needs incorporating different learning styles such as visual, aural, read/write and kinesthetic. Keeping up to date with and effectively using technology and innovation in the classroom set
- Evaluates follow-up data from graduates of the program and unit leadership from the units they are hired to, in order to obtain information regarding effectiveness of the program, seeking to improve where needed. ting.
- Plans, prioritizes and organizes assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.
Monitor and evaluate student attendance and performance and provide feedback in a timely manner.
Follows all integrity guidelines of NHA to ensure no manipulation of student data, performance and/or attendance occur.- Performs other duties as assigned in alignment with the CUHC Critical Care Tech Program.
Experience Required
- Candidate should have clinical experience; 3-5 years preferred. Education experience preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Critical thinking skills related to data analysis and synthesis and application to clinical practice
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent time management and program development skills
Education Requirements
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree is health science or education preferred
License/Certification Requirements
- American Heart Association BLS
- NJ LPN
