Summary:
Assumes the primary caretaker role for psychiatric patients ages Pre-K through adolescents which includes activities of daily living, maintaining a safe environment, and the management of harmful behaviors. The Program Specialist II also participates in crisis intervention, teaching, group process and on call as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required - preferably in psychology, child development, social work or related field
- Experience in inpatient or partial hospital psychiatric treatment preferred
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Child growth and development education required
- CPR - BLS within 60 days of start date
- CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Children's Control Position from Unit 8 completed within 60 days of start date
