Summary:
The Program Specialist II works in our Psychiatric unit and is the primary caretaker for psychiatric patients ages Pre-K - adolescents. The specialist assists patients with activities of daily living, maintaining a safe environment, and the management of harmful behaviors. This position also participates in crisis intervention, teaching, group process, and on-call as needed.
Education / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required. Preferably in psychology, child development, social work or related field.
- Experience working with at-risk youth preferred.
- Education in Child growth and development courses required.
- Prior experience working in inpatient or partial hospital psychiatric treatment preferred.
- BLS certification, or must be completed within 60 days of start date.
- CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Children's Control Position from Unit 8 or must be completed within 60 days of start date.
