Summary:

Cook Children's Medical Center and Healthcare System, based in Fort Worth, TX, has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Pediatric Hematologist to join our growing Hematology and Oncology Center to join our active Hematology Service. Currently, our 21 physicians and 13 nurse practitioners, as well as dedicated multi-disciplinary staff to see over 300 new cancer cases annually, and maintain a population of over 500 sickle cell syndrome patients, and are a designated Hemophilia Treatment Center. We have a very active outpatient practice and serve an expansive referral area including the Fort Worth Metro area, North Texas as well as East, Central and West Texas and the surrounding states.

• ur Hematology Oncology center is very active in clinical research in Oncology, Hematology fields, including involvement in several international pediatric stroke and thrombosis studies.
• ur center is an active member of Children's Oncology Group (COG) and has active collaborations with multiple academic institutions, Phase I consortiums and pharmaceutical companies. We are seeking an energetic BC/BE Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist with a strong base in General Hematology to fill this position. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a patient-focused practice with a high level of independence and opportunities for professional growth. Involvement in program development will be highly encouraged and supported.

Qualifications: • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.
• .) required. • American Heart Association BLS and PALS. • Unrestricted Texas Medical license (must obtain prior to start date). • Must have successfully completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Medical Association (AMA) approved residency for pediatrics. • Board certified/board eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
