Position Summary

This position will play a critical role in supporting the growth and success of the Constellation Beer Division as part of the Sales Enablement Team (SET) by providing strategic planning guidance through the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and support to key stakeholders. This individual will possess a unique blend of analytical skills, collaborative experience, and leadership abilities to synthesize data and drive actionable plans that enable the Beer Division to establish strong growth targets & Sales KPIs. This role will be instrumental in providing actionable growth targets for the Beer Division that are rooted in driver-based thinking. This individual will need to work with Marketing, Finance, Operations, & Sales Leadership to create & present strong actionable growth plans for each fiscal year. In addition to annual fiscal planning, this sr. analyst role is responsible for providing Beer Leadership with monthly and quarterly updates on the realization of planning assumptions and offering recommendations to maximize opportunities.

This individual will also support to the Senior Director of Commercial Sales Planning & Integration and the broader SET leadership team in enhancing Distributor Annual Business Plans and KPI execution to drive profitable volume & share growth, while achieving annual targets across the commercial organization.

This individual will report directly to the Manager, Commercial Sales Planning & Reporting.

Planning Responsibilities:

  • Support the Annual Operating Planning (AOP) cycle, defining the brand-level growth expectations to be executed at the market level through our commercial planning process that involves collaboration with Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Strategy.
    • The AOP will be responsible for delivering brand growth expectations & KPIs, explained through drivers for distribution and velocity, along with consultative recommendations on how to best leverage resources to meet financial growth targets.
  • Partners with Manager of Distributor Development to ensure all internal planning expectations are applied into actionable Annual Business Plans with our Distributor network.

Reporting Responsibilities:

  • Regularly evaluate the success of commercial initiatives, providing business updates to executive members of Sales, Marketing, and/or Beer Leadership Team and identify gaps to plan or areas of further opportunity to improve assumptions and future modeling.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Sales Integration Manager to develop dashboard(s) for monthly reporting needs.
  • Support the creation of quarterly reporting summaries and recommendations to be used during Quarterly Sales, Marketing, and/or BLT meetings.
  • Support the creation of actionable insights to the broader team to drive continuous improvement. Reports market activity, insights, and key business updates to VP SET, SET Leadership, and various members of the Sales leadership team on a regular basis.
  • Work cross-functionally with teams including marketing, finance, national/key accounts, & on premise to evaluate and report against KPIs to Executive Beer Leadership Teams.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, market share, and competitive activity to provide regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
  • Building strong relationships within marketing, finance, and operations teams will be key to this role and a collaborative mindset is paramount.
  • Support all outputs and coordination required for Commercial Collaboration Meetings, Summer Business Unit Planning Meetings, and Constellation Annual Planning Meetings based on AOP recommendations & developed KPIs.
  • Support SET management team by working to leverage new data & information into AOP thinking including: Operational S&OP information, Financial Pricing data, Marketing Spend inputs, and modeled distribution runway expectations.
  • Support reporting tools to track planning assumptions. These will be utilized in quarterly executive meetings for strategic planning to close gaps or maximize growth opportunities.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience working in sales/market analysis position. Consumer goods experience preferred, alcohol beverage industry experience a plus.
  • Must have prior experience in coordinating and analyzing sales data and insights from various sources and in developing support tools and forecasts based on findings.
  • Must have knowledge and experience with business information reporting & Forecasting tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn internal software applications and specialized customer tools as required.
  • Possess excellent quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to deliver multi-level analysis, reporting, and actionable insights. Demonstrates ability to integrate detailed data points into actionable insights and selling tools.
  • Precise, detail-oriented, analytical, and deadline-driven with the ability to work under pressure. Must take initiative and work with a high level of professionalism.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work with a variety of individuals at all levels both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of critical thinking skills and flexibility.
  • Ability to skillfully use software applications including Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel. Ability to utilize business information reporting tools, including PowerBI, Circana, Nielson, and various internal data tools.
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 5-10% of his/her working time.

  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and work at desk/personal computer for extended periods of time.
  • The primary work environment is a professional corporate office and in trade.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, be able to drive a car and travel via plane/train as needed.
  • Must be at least 21 years or age.

The salary range for this role is:
$92,500.00 - $141,700.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Our compensation is based on cost of labor. For remote locations or positions open to multiple locations, the pay range may reflect several US geographic markets, including the lowest geographic market minimum to the highest geographic market maximum. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
