Our corporate clients predominantly employ us to act as trustee for employee benefit trusts which are put in place to reward, incentivise, and retain employees through share ownership in the company. Every trust is different, ranging from the straightforward to the very complex, some aimed at all employees in the group, others aimed specifically at the senior executives.

We are also employed to provide a range of services in relation to the administration of offshore trusts and companies, mainly set up to assist in the financial planning for our clients but also for a variety of other purposes.

A role you will love

The role is to provide a bespoke premier Trustee administration service within agreed turnaround times for plans involving key executives in employee benefit trust's, Trusts and Companies adopting a right first-time approach. Providing an operational point of contact for certain key clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • To meet personal objectives in terms of productivity and quality of service when undertaking complex Trust administration tasks
  • To demonstrate an understanding of fiduciary responsibility to protect the client, yourself, the team, and the business.
  • Take responsibility for all operational contact client records and processes ensuring that the core client sites hold comprehensive, accurate and timely information so that day to day administration can be completed within the team.
  • To develop working relationships with clients, intermediaries, and internal contacts to maximise client retention.
  • To identify and implement efficiencies within the department and minimise risk by the regular review of existing processes.
  • Providing outbound calling to client/participant to assist with query resolution within processes.
  • To answer both written and telephone queries from clients and colleagues.
  • Maintenance of personal time recording.
  • To demonstrate and adhere to agreed service levels and wherever possible, exceed client's expectations.
  • To provide support and training to junior members of the team
  • In addition to the duties listed above, the Team Manager may request any other ad hoc duties or projects.

What will you bring to the role?

The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of JFSC requirements and awareness of requirements for other jurisdictions. They will also be proactive, can understand the business implications of decisions taken and to improve organisational performance, and will be self-sufficient and able to hit the ground running.

Essential Skills, Experience and Competencies

  • Experience and a sound knowledge in Trust and Company or employee benefit trust administration is essential.
  • Knowledge and experience of statutory and regulatory requirements for Jersey companies and trusts.
  • Ensure that own skills and knowledge are kept up to date meeting regulated CPD requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Sound computer skills, able to adapt to and apply new technologies.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.

Desirable Skills, Experience and Competencies

  • Studying towards/Completion of CGIUK IFA Level 4 or equivalent.
