As the APAC Treasurer, you'll be the strategic mastermind behind our treasury operations in Asia. You'll lead and inspire our dynamic Treasury front office and operations teams in Australia while influencing all treasury activities throughout the region. This role is your opportunity to maximize client fund interest income and navigate the exciting landscape of financial negotiations.

But that's not all! You will spearhead treasury budgeting, forecasting, and cash management activities, ensuring our financial strategies are not just sound but visionary. With your keen eye for detail, you'll manage all monthly reporting related to treasury activities and foster strong banking relationships, navigating risk management with finesse.

The operations team, under your leadership, will ensure timely and accurate payments across the region. You'll oversee treasury payments and provide indirect guidance to line-of-business payments, driving excellence in operational reporting, liquidity management, and compliance with Computershare's treasury policies.

This pivotal role will report directly to the Global Head of Treasury Operations, with a collaborative connection to the Corporate Treasurer based in Australia, placing you at the heart of our global strategy.

Key accountabilities:

• Contributing towards defining banking partners in Australia in line with business needs and discussing strategic elements of relationships and performance with banks - Client funds only.

• Identifying and negotiating the appropriate Client funds banking solutions based on client needs.

• Contributing towards outlining the strategy for managing foreign exchange risk and negotiating price for Client funds and implementing the strategy

• Initiating Australian trade/ transactions instruction.

• Executing on surplus and deficit in cash positions in order to determine cash movements, investments and borrowings in Australia.

• Investing excess Australian cash in short and long term facilities.

• Managing the process of ensuring bank accounts are sufficiently funded in order carry out financial obligations due in the short-term.

• Managing the exposure quantification process - valuations of all financial products including derivatives, debt & investment.

• Working with the business to identify regional risks within the organisation. e.g. foreign exchange exposures.

• Managing a team of Analyst that will cover Australian Middle Office processes such as: Bank account management; Compliance, controls and KPIs; and Treasury accounting.

• Managing a team of Analyst that will cover Australian Back Office processes such as: payments and bank reconciliations.

• Lead, develop and motivate a regional team of Treasury Analysts.

• As a subject matter expert lead and contribute to a range of strategic Group wide projects including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and other business transactions

What will you bring to the role?

Essential:

• Degree educated or equivalent qualification or experience

• Experienced in Treasury in a regional environment and the associated regulatory landscape;

• Experienced in developing and implementing Client Treasury strategies in a global organisation, with direct experience of the Treasury framework in regional jurisdictions;

• Previously operated at a management level; and

• Experienced in overseeing regional financial management and fiscal health of the organisation.

Preferred:

• Relevant Treasury and/or accounting qualifications (ACT/AMCT and/or CIMA/ACCA/ACA, CFA, MBA or similar)
