We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Regional Financial Accountant to join our dynamic team. This key role involves supporting the month-end close process, preparing reports for the Group, and ensuring the timely preparation of local statutory financial statements and regulatory reports for assigned legal entities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all financial reporting activities, ensuring compliance with regional regulations, and consistently meeting deadlines.

A role you will love
The Regional Financial Accountant will play a key role in supporting the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for assigned legal entities. This includes preparing local statutory financial statements, regulatory reports, and delivering them to the Group within established deadlines. The role involves supporting audit processes by providing necessary documentation and evidence, maintaining strong internal controls, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. The individual will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for process enhancements to optimize financial operations, and collaborating with various stakeholders across the region to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting activities.
Key accountabilities:
• Supports the month-end close process for assigned legal entities by posting selected journal entries and undertaking appropriate reviews to ensure that all numbers reported to Group are accurate and complete
• Prepares group Half-Year and Year-End disclosure reporting packs
• Participates in preparation of statutory accounts under local GAAP where required and regulatory reports for assigned regional subsidiaries focusing on accuracy and timeliness as well as local board reports where applicable
• Supports the audit process by preparing appropriate work papers and co-ordinates provision of audit evidence
• Contributes to both regional and group-wide ad hoc projects including continuous improvements, group initiatives and participation in transformation activity where required
• Maintains appropriate controls in the reporting process and puts forward ideas for process, policy and control improvements
• Responds to ad-hoc requests in areas related to reporting and financial control deploying accounting and reporting expertise

Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- Accounting qualification (CPA, ACA, ACCA, or local equivalent) - fully qualified or qualification process well progressed
- Working knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards; further on-the-job training will be provided.
- Experience of preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
Preferred:
- Experience of Oracle ERP
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
