Computershare has an exciting opportunity for a passionate Leader to join our team as our IT Business Analyst Manager for our Global Plans Development team, based in Edinburgh or Bristol.

We are looking for an experienced individual to take on this role, leading the department to deliver high-quality solutions across a portfolio of applications in collaboration with the Engineering, Agile and Portfolio teams.

A role you will love

As our IT Business Analyst Manager, you will be responsible for the analysis practice, using your knowledge of techniques, technology, tools, policy and procedures to ensure that business requirements are translated into technical user stories and solutions that meet business requirements.

One of the most important parts of your role is being responsible for the leadership of our amazing team. You will focus on ensuring that there is a clearly defined progression plan for ambitious and high potential individuals within the team, and that the team is challenged, motivated, and harmonized. You will provide the team with clear direction and vision, leading on critical strategic initiatives and plans to continually improve the way of working and environment.

Other key responsibilities:

  • Facilitating the delivery of high-quality solutions that are stable and resilient; conform to security and architectural standards; and are developed in line with the software development methodology.
  • Working collaboratively building credibility with executive business partners and technology leaders by demonstrating thought leadership.
  • Embedding a culture of continuous improvement and collaborating with other teams, specialists and stakeholders.
  • Managing individual and team performance of 4 direct reports who manage teams of 5-8 IT BA's across multiple European locations.
  • Ensures all IT governance and business processes are adhered to.
  • Uses meaningful metrics to track delivery of value and high customer satisfaction.

What will you bring to the role?

You'll bring energy, passion, and the ability to inspire our team! We are looking for somebody who has a true passion for coaching and mentoring teams, who can work with teams to foster continuous development in their roles, regardless of where their journey leads!

Relationship building is key in this role, as you will be working closely with business partners, the wider technology teams, and your own team to ensure that we have the capability to deliver. You are a strong decision maker; you will work with the team and stakeholders to make business critical decisions while listening to everyone's inputs.

Some other key skills that you'll have:

  • Experience of leading leaders, as a "Manager" or "Head of role" within an IT BA team, ideally at a global or enterprise level.
  • Experience working in development teams across the full Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Significant experience in using and implementing agile methodologies in technology teams.
  • Excellent Leadership experience with the ability to set direction, share values, and motivate and engage your team.
  • Exceptional management skills - organising work and resources, planning and setting priorities, delegating effectively etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with staff and stakeholders.
  • Any experience working within financial services is highly regarded.
