Treasury Operations is a fast-moving environment and is responsible for the management of all Computershare bank accounts (circa 13,000 in EMEA), for handling all banking/payment related queries from both internal and external parties and for undertaking due diligence across all EMEA counterparties.

The Head of Treasury Operations - EMEA provides leadership and direction to EMEA Treasury team, creating an environment which achieves consistently high levels of performance, accountability, and colleague engagement. As a member of the Treasury Management team, it will provide insight and updates on operational activity for the region ensuring collaboration across the treasury function in order to deliver an optimal service.

A major aspect of this role is the responsibility of validating all Front Office activity from a compliance with policy perspective as well ensuring trading is within agreed limits. Also, for ensuring appropriate due diligence reporting has been completed on all counterparties whether from an EMEA or Global perspective. This role is also responsible for overseeing the bank account management process and for ensuring the integrity of the Computershare internal ledger (CITADEL).

This role manages all banking relationships within the EMA region in partnership with the EMEA Treasurer and is part of the strategic decision-making process for Treasury Operations from an EMEA and Global basis.

The Head of Treasury Operations -EMEA must guarantee the highest level of compliance with all regulations across several jurisdictions while looking to evolve the team's processes through technological solutions and adhering to stakeholders SLAs.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Accountable for all payments being processed on time, every time and daily settlement verification reports reviewed for any variances.
  • Manage the day-to-day Treasury Operations function.
  • Own and manage relationships with all EMEA banking providers including tariff negotiation.
  • Ensure counterparty due diligence is completed accurately and timely and that the process is compliant with CASS/CAR rules.
  • Own the Computershare internal ledger (CITADEL) and ensure its integrity.
  • Oversee the bank account management process and ensure that the appropriate cash flows/matrices that have been agreed with the business are properly maintained.
  • Help develop the payment strategy and architecture for both the EMEA region and how these plays into the Global architectural strategy.
  • Lead a range of projects, providing subject matter expertise and assigning resource as required.
  • Ensure all Front Office validations are completed appropriately and on time.
  • Establish and cultivate relationships with senior key stakeholders with collaboration to ensure processes and controls are adhered to and understood.
  • Keep up to date with any industry and/or regulatory changes affecting Middle Ofice to ensure the company is compliant.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulation and internal procedures while safeguarding the risk management and control environment.
  • Supervision, training and appraisal of staff.
  • Maintenance and review of Treasury Operations policies and procedures.
  • Systems and process development, improving the efficiency/effectiveness of Treasury Middle Office activities and the payment infrastructure in general.

What will you bring to the role?

  • University degree (Finance, Accounting or Business preferred)
  • Minimum 7 years of treasury experience
  • ACT qualification
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in leading projects and driving through to conclusion
  • Understanding of how the regulatory landscape impacts the company in the UK and abroad.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with second and third lines as well as external auditors
  • SME for treasury and payment types/methods as well as a range of products and services provided by Computershare across the region.
