10-12 Month Fixed Term Contract

This is a hybrid position primarily based in Bristol. As we refine our operations, the Goods Received Not Invoiced (GRNI) process for each legal entity is under the stewardship of our Financial Control team, with key contributions from our Procurement users and the Accounts Payable team.

In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that the month-end Goods Received Not Invoiced (GRNI) balance is not only reconciled but also substantive. Your responsibilities will include reviewing GRNI accounting and purchase order (PO) activity, performing necessary corrections, and providing essential support to business users as they navigate the PO system.

Key accountabilities:

• Review open GRNI transactions for accuracy and where required process correcting entries within the system.

• Support with the GRNI reconciliation globally for the month end financial close.

• Coordinate with the offshore teams to process correction entries.

• Provide status updates to Finance stakeholders on a regular basis.

• Support the integrity of GRNI; ensuring any queried items are managed on an ongoing, timely basis.

• Investigate and respond to queries from key stakeholders

• Contribute to process improvement initiatives within scope of work.

What will you bring to the role?

Essential:

• Strong MS Office / Excel and financial systems skills are required to perform these tasks adequately. While knowledge of Oracle is highly desirable, the candidate ideally has had experience using a financial system

• At least 2 years' experience in an accounting role is essential, with the preference for someone who has been in a similar role for that time in a large global business

Preferred:

• AAT qualification

• Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in finance, accounting or related discipline
