The Marketing Services team is a centralized, shared resource across regions and Business Units. The team works closely together each business unit Portfolio Marketing team, to create great campaigns and drive revenue growth. We provide customer and market intelligence, brand strategy, campaign development and execution and strategic client pursuit (proposals) as a 'centre of excellence'. All marketing projects are managed by the Marketing Services team to bring together marketing expertise, best practice, consistency to everything delivered to clients, and leverage global content while ensuring local relevance and market specific requirements.
Marketing Services and Portfolio Marketing work together:
- Intelligence and Brand teams will provide insights that inform the Marketing strategies and plans.
- Portfolio Teams will own and develop these strategies in line with business objectives.
- MarCom (Marketing Communications) and Strategic Pursuit teams will be briefed by the Portfolio teams and will develop and execute marketing plans and strategic proposals.
- Regional marketing teams will support with the translation and localization of our marketing activity.
A role you will love
Under the guidance of and in coordination with the Marketing Global Event Director, the Event Marketing Coordinator implements B2B events at a segment and business level to help the organization realize its business objectives. This includes planning, development, and execution of virtual and physical events, that are targeted to clients as well as prospects, in all regions. The type of events includes webinars, virtual and face-to-face client events, roundtables, industry events and workshops. The position requires a hands-on, collaborative, and flexible approach with the ability to oversee and execute multiple projects simultaneously while driving aggressive deadlines. The role is best suited for a high-achiever with proven ability to contribute individually (through hands-on execution) as well as part of a results-focused department.
The Event Marketing Coordinator oversees and assists with aspects of event planning and execution for Computershare-hosted and industry tradeshows and events, both in-person and virtually. Primary responsibilities for this position include meetings with internal partners to work out event or webinar details, research and book locations, food, entertainment and to coordinate activities with tradeshow vendors.
Primary Accountabilities
• Execute event marketing programs, aligned with business objectives, working together with the Global Marketing team and Marketing Global Event Director.
Pre-event: 50%
• Plan all event aspects, such as venue, food, entertainment, event invitations and booth design, staffing.
• Create and present event proposals to US Issuer Services Marketing team, anticipating and planning for different scenarios.
• Communicate with marketing team to create effective promotions, per strategy, for events.
• Create and maintain a working relationship with event vendors and venues.
• Create and maintain event budgets.
• Create online registration, emails and registration reports as needed.
During Event: 30%
• Manage and oversee events on the day of, including problem-solving, welcoming guests, directing event set-up, communicating with staff, and organizing vendors, and managing take-down.
• Travel to events as needed.
Post event: 20%
• Execute post-event process: ensure timely communication with event participants, produce event recaps and insights for future participation.
• Close out of all expenses and report final budget numbers to invested parties.
What will you bring to the role?
The ideal candidate will be an adaptable, dynamic and results driven individual contributor, capable of working independently managing multiple projects, running internal meetings, trade shows, corporate events, large conferences. A highly organized multitasker who works well under pressure with a systematic, detail driven approach to planning. A strategic thinker, with the ability to overcome obstacles and see plans through along planned timelines.
This individual should also possess:
• A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college
• 2 - 3+ years' experience working in an Event Planner or Marketing position, preferably with a public company comparable to Computershare.
• Virtual event / webinar platform experience required.
• General knowledge of financial and investment services to market.
• Cvent or other online registration system and database system proficiency, as well as on Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven analytical acumen to view and interpret results and deliver consistently excellent performance in an ever-changing environment along with excellent time management skills.
• Travel - 10% North America and Canada

Compensation.The typical base pay range for this role is$57,000 - $65,000/yearly. This base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations: Denver, CO.
