JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Wanchai, Hong Kong (Hybrid)

In this position, you'll be based in the Wanchai office for a minimum of four days a week, with the flexibility to work from home for some of your working week. This role has in-office operational requirements and so we're unable to consider employees who wish to continue an existing, fully remote working arrangement.

A challenging opportunity has risen in our Issuer Services business - Corporate Services team!

Corporate Services (COS) is our primary department within our Global Core Operations to coordinate all services provided to our listed issuer clients, including corporate actions execution, dividend payments disbursements, shareholder communications and shareholder meetings support. COS would often interact with other departments within Operations to achieve these objectives, to ensure a timely service delivery that is also compliant with applicable regulatory requirements.

A role you will love

The Assistant Manager will support the Team Head in managing portfolios and providing solutions to listed clients, coordinate with professional and internal parties; and assist in guiding junior team members.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assist line manager to oversee day-to day operation
  • Assist line manager to monitor the team performance and report to line manager
  • Carry out ad-hoc project or company project (Local/global) as assigned by line manager
  • Perform day-to-day operation of the team e.g. deliver meeting services at shareholder meetings, calculate entitlements for registered shareholders and prepare relevant correspondences to listed clients and paying banks, execute shares/units movement according to corporate listed clients' instruction

What will you bring to the role?

This role requires excellent customer service skills in building a trustworthy relationship with listed clients and strong coordination skills in liaising with different parties.

This role is preferred to have a university degree in business related discipline to truly understand the business and succeed in this role.

Other key skills required for the role include:

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry
  • Experience in handling corporate action projects / corporate clients is highly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Chinese word processing
