As Compass expands its leadership in the residential brokerage industry, we are looking for the best and brightest to drive strategic business decisions. The Director, FP&A will be a key contributor to the quarterly forecasting process, the annual budgeting process, and will be the financial business partner to the regional brokerage operations. Through the financial business partnership with the regional brokerages the Director will provide financial support and analysis to manage operating expenses, accounts receivable management, tracking and monitoring staffing models, capital expenditure analysis, tracking and monitoring KPIs, developing and tracking our staffing model and other projects requested by senior management. This role will report directly to the SVP Finance and Chief Accounting Officer.

Key Responsibilities:
- Key player on the FP&A team that manages Compass’s monthly forecasting, annual planning process, financial and operations analysis.
- Financial business partner to the regional brokerage markets, supporting the Presidents and Regional Vice Presidents with financial reporting, analysis and strategy.
- Monitor key performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance, including areas of revenue, commissions, operating expenses, operating metrics and capital expenditures.
- Manage annual budget process for certain aspects of the regional brokerage operations
- Cultivate deep partnership with Regional brokerage leaders.
- Improve operating teams’ understanding of financial statements and budget adherence with thoughtful and transparent analysis.
- Collaborate with operating teams and provide fact-based recommendations that improve profitability, operating efficiency and effectiveness.
Job Skills & Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience, which can be comprised of a mix of relevant experience. FP&A leadership experience required.
- Experience within an FP&A function of a public company strongly preferred.
- Real Estate/Brokerage industry, public accounting/consulting experience is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred.
- Adaptive Planning and Power BI systems experience strongly preferred.
- Must possess excellent analytical, financial modeling and presentation skills with the ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Must be a team player who understands the importance of the role as a key support function to the operating team. Positive, cooperative attitude. Ability to work with multiple teams simultaneously, both internal and external.
- Humble with ability and desire to roll up sleeves and be hands on in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with senior management, communicate effectively in meetings and describe deliverables and project milestones.

Compensation:
The base pay range for this position is $121,300-$181,900 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits. Base pay is based on market location. Minimum wage for the position will always be met.
