The Enterprise Applications & Architecture (EAA) Team acts as a catalyst for Coinbase by using best-in-class, 3rd-party, enterprise applications; purpose-built software; automation; and integrated workflows – all of which free associates’ minds and time to focus on high-judgment tasks. The Business Unit Delivery team is a vital part of Coinbase’s Enterprise Applications and Architecture org, responsible for building and supporting applications used by our business unit partners on a daily basis to perform their work tasks. The CXP team within Business Unit Delivery is responsible for building, configuring and managing applications to drive best-in-class customer service for Coinbase customers, through enabling an efficient and effective customer service network.
An L3 Software Engineer will independently manage individual tasks by learning and applying our existing tools, systems, and best practices. They will work primarily within existing features and integrations to build solutions, enhance functionality, and resolve issues.
What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):
- Independently manages individual tasks, working primarily within existing features and systems.
- Learns and applies the team’s tools and best practices, communicates information, asks questions, and confirms understanding as needed.
- Brings own curiosity and suggests innovative approaches to daily work.
- Builds within existing features, systems, and integrations independently.
- Understands data, functional, non-functional, integration and reporting requirements.
- Learns and applies the EAA engineering tools and best practices.
- Understands the basic principles of quality and adheres to them.
- Identifies and resolves simple issues and/or escalates to teammates as needed.
- Develops solutions that are easy to understand and test.
- Debugs quality issues in familiar systems proactively.
- Writes high quality code and config reviews for teammates
What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Management Systems or equivalent experience
- 2+ years experience, preferably in business applications development management, product management for internal products
- 2+ years of experience developing Apex
- 2+ years experience with AWS & Lambda’s
- Knowledge and experience working with Interactive Voice Response (IVR), Knowledge Management System (KMS), Machine Learning (ML), chatbots, and internal home-grown tooling (Salesforce, Amazon Connect, AWS preferred)
- Experience with backend integrations a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter
- Experience tackling ambiguous technical challenges
- Background working within an Agile environment and using Jira
- Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification (Advanced Admin, App Builder, Platform Developer II preferred)
