Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the day-to-day running of the accounting and Master Data function and implementing the strategy and direction for the function. Will utilize strong accounting, financial reporting, planning and analytical skills to support the country. The Finance Supervisor will manage the month-end close process, prepare financial reports, and be involved in planning and forecasting functions, as well as provide analytical support for key initiatives and ad hoc requests.

The Finance Supervisor will identify and implement systems, polices and processes aligned to both legislative and company requirements for the finance function to improve financial monitoring, ensure accountability and compliance. Is responsible for supporting the Operations Leadership Team by offering insights and financial advice that will enable and support business decisions for the company.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, development, and coaching to finance team
  • Train employees
  • Foster a work environment that maximizes employee involvement, morale, and engagement
  • Prepare month-end close function for multiple distribution centers including preparation of financial / operational reports, expense / inventory variance analysis, balance sheet account reconciliation
  • Support inventory management/control process
  • Support capital spending / approval process
  • Support pricing /rebate / recovery request process
  • Support development of annual business plans and quarterly forecasts
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual external customer financial /operational reporting
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data, quantifying financial opportunity and risk, and communicating the optimal business decisions/actions
  • Enhance and/or develop new financial models to improve existing financial plans or decision analysis
  • Develop financial analysis tools to assist in management decisions
  • Lead and/or participate in business initiatives
  • Develop/maintain key metrics as required
  • Support annual external audit process
  • Manage/lead direct report(s) within the Finance department
  • Oversee and review preparation of monthly/quarterly financial and management reporting
  • Oversee and review preparation of annual accounts for audit and annual statutory reporting
  • Oversee and review completion of tax returns and other statutory compliance requirements
  • Provide financial and analytical support to the General Manager
  • Guide and support department managers to enhance financial proficiency, including guidance with compiling budgets, forecasting, and managing spend
  • Develop, implement, and monitor appropriate financial systems, procedures, and internal controls to support the efficient and effective operation of the Finance function
  • Oversee the recruitment, supervision, and direction of the team
  • Support General Manager around budgets, spending, reporting and financial accountability
  • Develop strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effectiveness of communications and resolution of issues
  • Oversee and ensure an accurate and efficient general month-end close process
  • Manage, review, and approve balance sheet account reconciliations and ensure timeliness of completion and accountability of owners
  • Management and ultimate responsibility of CAPEX, Fixed Assets and Leases
  • Development and reporting of key metrics pro-actively or as directed
  • Management and ultimate responsibility of audit and compliance (internal and external)
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead weekly team meetings.
  • Participate in and contribute to various committees, such as quality and safety
  • Be a champion of change
  • Other projects or duties as assigned.
