Hiring Salary Range : $ 53,500.00 - 70,000.00

Job Summary

The Coordinator, Learning and Compliance - Training and Development is responsible for supporting all learning and compliance initiatives at both of the CN Training Centers as well as other training initiatives across the network. This includes logistics activities such as organizing transportation, accommodations, and meals for up to 400 students per week as well as learning management activities including creating training sessions, uploading attendance sheets, and auditing records to maintain data compliance. The role is accountable for understanding compliance requirements for Transportation, Engineering, and Mechanical employees and ensuring that employees are assigned the correct certification in the Learning Management System (LMS) based on the completed training as well as audit certifications to ensure data integrity. The incumbent handles daily reports to ensure all operations employees are scheduled and have attended their required trainings. Furthermore, the position supports logistics, training, and compliance records for all third-party companies whose employees must be trained to work on CN Track.

Main Responsibilities

• Work with functional leads to forecast, plan, and schedule training in Canada and the Unites States (U.S.)
• Oversee rules expiration dates for all craft employees and ensure employees are scheduled and have attended their required training as per government requirements
• Book flights, hotels, and transportation to support trainees attending both training centers
• Utilize the LMS to document training records and assign appropriate certifications based on compliance requirements
• Manage, schedule, and create invoices for all third-party training courses, including uploading training records, and assigning certifications based on completed training
• Oversee campus accounts payable and support trainees with expense claims
• Develop and maintain training dashboards and reports with relevant data, metrics, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Operate Visual Basic (VBA) macros and utilize PowerBI dashboards to complete logistics activities and support training compliance
• Support other key training initiatives including but not limited to First Aid Training scheduling and auditing, the Railroader Certification Program (RRCP), CN Safety Leadership Training, and campus tours
• Audit training initiatives to explore cost savings or program enhancement ideas

Working Conditions

The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure and stress. The role requires minimal travel (5%) within Canada and the United States (U.S.).

Requirements

Experience

Logistics or Learning Management
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics and or learning management

Education/Certification/Designation

• High School Diploma

Technical Skills/Knowledge

• Advanced technical skills in Microsoft Excel (Macros) and PowerPoint (executive reporting)
• Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, SharePoint, Outlook)
• Fluently bilingual, both written and verbal (English, French)
Any knowledge for any of the above would be considered as an asset
