Position Summary

Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for providing analytics to enhance performance visibility for areas within Supply Chain and to drive process improvements for City of Hope operations The Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for managing multiple projects that require cross-functional alignment and training; providing sustainable solutions that present metrics, reporting, and processes. The role requires proactive collaboration with IT to optimize and streamline data capture and publishing; developing and presenting data that is clear and concise; and instituting lean principles as part of solution development. A key responsibility for this position is to present findings of their analyses and recommendations with clarity to leadership members.

Key Responsibilities include:

Project Management - Leading analytics-based projects across various areas of supply chain, inventory management, and across other departments dependent on these areas. Collaborate with IT teams such as Tableau management to develop sustainable reporting tools.

Data Analytics - Extract data from various sources, structure it in a simple and repeatable format, interpret data to identify trends and relevant information, and present data from these efforts in a clear and concise manner to various stakeholders. Develop and Query databases such as PeopleSoft, Epic, and others. Filter and clean data, and review performance indicators and correct any data integrity issues.

Metric Development - Generating, maintaining, and communicating metrics and SLAs. Performing audits to ensure metrics and results are improving and are sustainable. Q/A and publish Daily, Weekly, Monthly performance metrics and oversee publishing in Tableau or equivalent program.

Process Improvements - Develop process to create and update inventory reorder points for supplies based on demand trends. Train materials specialists staff to utilize reorder point data during daily requisitions. Participate in "pushing" analysis and process improvement projects. Ensures proper operations follow through and identifies operational opportunities to improve services

Cost Savings - Identifying cost savings opportunities through data analytics, developing a cost savings project plan, e.g. freight costs, collaborating with and securing buy-in from stakeholders, managing the project implementation, and implementing metrics to track and sustain the cost savings.
  • Partner closely with Finance, Procurement, Nursing, Research, and other departments in analysis and summary of key data
  • Work with IT to develop and Q/A key data requests and other analysis or development of quality scorecards.
Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Healthcare Management, or other technical area.
  • Minimum of 3 years progressive experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, and/or Operations
  • Demonstrated ability to extract, manipulate, interpret, and present a large breadth of supply chain data, metrics, and reports. This includes, but is not limited to, materials management, purchasing, receiving, freight and other areas within Operations
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (PeopleSoft experience preferred).

Required Certification/Licensure:
  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP)

Preferred education experience and skills:
  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Supply Chain Management, Public Health (MPH), or other similar disciplines.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt)
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, and/or Operations
  • Knowledge of, and experience in implementing, Lean principles
  • Experience in data reporting and analysis tools, such as Tableau and SQL
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (PeopleSoft experience preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to pull, manipulate, interpret, and present a large breadth of supply chain data, metrics, and reports. This includes, but is not limited to, materials management, purchasing, receiving, and other areas within Operations
