This intern will work with internal stakeholders to identify their business requirements, identify viable suppliers, and execute a value driven strategic sourcing process. This position will require the use of analytical rigor, effective communication skills, initiative, curiosity, and judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute steps in the RFP process as needed for stakeholders
  • Develop trust-based relationships and earn a seat at the table with department stakeholders
  • Analyze internal spend data and external market data to understand trends and potential areas of opportunity
  • Develop baseline cost for categories including total cost analysis, technical specifications and historical cost trends
  • Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies
  • Develop a decision matrix to drive objective business recommendation for stakeholders
  • Partner with Chick-fil-A's Legal team to effectively resolve contracting issues
  • Create and execute on negotiation strategies to secure favorable deal/terms for Chick-fil-A
  • Build relationships with key supplier representatives and effectively escalate any issues that arise
  • Work collaboratively across the broader corporate procurement team to support transformation and change efforts in supplier relationship management, P2P, and procurement analytics
  • Interface with Finance on budget and financial issues


Minimum Qualifications

  • Current student planning to return to undergraduate program in Fall of 2025
  • Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams
  • Strong analytical skills (Microsoft Excel, procurement spend software, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Demonstrated high standards of excellence in work production and final work product and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt within a rigorous, quickly changing, and fast paced environment
  • Must maintain and promote social, ethical, and professional standards that reflect the core values of Chick-fil-A, Inc. when conducting business activities

  • Rising junior preferred
