Overview

The Sr. Brand Identity Design Lead specializes in guiding the stewardship of the brand, setting and maintaining visual guidelines across the organization. The Design Lead manages and executes major visual identity projects that are essential to the ongoing commitment to maintain authenticity, leverage scare, create quality and consistency across all touchpoints. The Design Lead manages multiple projects, processes and problems that are difficult or complex; analyzes problems and determines solutions and makes recommendations to senior decision makers.

The Design Lead is a subject matter expert who knows how to apply strategies and put into practice with in-depth understanding of design methodology. The Design Lead helps to build visual identity system affinity and adoption through education and relationship building within and outside the organization. The Design Lead provides design leadership and consulting while partnering with Marketing, external partners, agencies and stakeholders across the organization. Responsibilities

  • Lead creative vision and development of design systems including Chick-fil-A's Masterbrand and Brand Extensions in collaboration with various stakeholders
  • Develop, refresh and maintain a variety of visual identity systems to drive brand consistency
  • Create clear and strategic design briefs to define objectives, design strategy, and deliverables
  • Project, coordinate, and work cross-functionally with Marketing, internal teams, agencies, vendors and additional counterparts
  • Understand the competitor landscape and staying up to date on "what's next" in design trends
  • Responsible for managing budgets, timelines, project planning, communications and details for multiple projects in various stages at once
  • Collaborate, consult and provide creative feedback for internal teams and external partners
  • Effectively communicate concepts to influence stakeholders on the creative vision
  • Manage and build partnerships with creative agencies and external partners


Ideal Candidate Characteristics:
  • Business-savvy, design leader with the highest standard for design excellence and strategic problem solving
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines, while maintaining excellent communication with direct report
  • Highly collaborative within the design team, overseeing internal and external designers on creative development and production


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired
  • 4+ years' experience in creative industry
  • Expertise in brand identity and developing large-scale visual identity systems
  • Portfolio demonstrating deep design experience developing brand identities and strong typography skills
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to understand, specify and manage color standards and specifications for print and digital
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite and work management platforms


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or similar
  • 5+ years' experience strongly preferred
