As Chick-fil-A Supply continues to scale, we must think strategically about our current capabilities and long-term goals to determine the best talent support structure to meet our growing business needs. The Talent Relations Leader will support these capabilities and scale to meet these needs.
The Talent Relations Leader will serve as the People leader of the Talent Relations Team. The Talent Relations Leader will oversee the assignment, management, and direction of Talent Relations matters and Compliance. This role is responsible for directing the work of future Talent Relations Advisors to mitigate risk and develop solutions to complex talent matters while serving as an ambassador for a positive work environment for Chick-fil-A Supply Staff and Team Members. Additionally, this role directs the research and reporting, as needed, and aids in the consistent administration and training on employment law matters. In conjunction with senior leaders in Talent, this leader will influence the implementation of strategies to mitigate risk and protect the Company's culture.

Responsibilities
- Direct the work of the Talent Relations team serving as an advisor on Talent relations best practices and strategies
- Work closely with Talent teams and/or the Legal team on Talent relations matters ensuring a thorough investigation plan, recommendations to resolve issue, and completion of appropriate documentation
- Consult with Legal to ensure consistent and uniform interpretation and application of policy and practice related to Talent relations cases
- Evaluate and resolve Talent relations or work-related concerns which may require meeting with People Leaders to determine appropriate action
- Liaison with various department teams, including Talent, Legal, and Operations, and lead the analysis and review of changes and updates to employment policies and guidelines to ensure they are aligned to Chick-fil-A's objectives and compliant with law
- Proactively assess trends in Talent relations matters with learnings and recommendations to senior leaders on solutions that will continue to protect the health, morale, and productivity of our Staff and Team Members
- Consult, coach, and educate Staff, Talent and leaders on policies and guidelines, enabling decision making processes that foster a fair and equitable work environment
- Create and maintain reports and systems that track Talent Relations cases, data, processes, trends/themes and provide frequent updates to senior leaders
- Manage a team of advisors on investigations and documentation overseeing work and providing guidance
- Manages review of internal website for Talent Relations policies and ensures website information is current and up to date
- Facilitates training for Staff, Team Members, and Leadership on various employment law matters, in partnership with Legal
- Partners with Leadership, Legal and Talent to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, rules, and agency polices
- Travel to various distribution centers to conduct on-site assessments and serve as additional onsite Talent support
- Coordinate and facilitate training sessions for employees at distribution centers, adapting content as needed to meet specific requirements and challenges
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 7-9 years of professional relevant work experience
- Minimum 7 years Human Resources experience with focus on employee relations for 5 or more years
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP preferred
- 2 or more years of experience in a distribution, manufacturing and/or warehousing environment
- 2 or more years of labor relations experience
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of federal, state and local employment laws such as Title VII, ADA, FLSA, FMLA, ADEA, STAA, harassment & retaliation, workers' compensation statutes in workplace setting
- Aptitude to work with several technology platforms
- Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft's standard suite of work solutions (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Excellent writing, documentation, and editing skills, specifically in the development of reports, guidelines and written summaries
- Strong communication/presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of leadership, particularly at executive levels in the Company
- Proficiency in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data
- Ability to work through complex talent matters bringing resolution in a calm and professional manner
- Ability to listen with patience and respond to high level, controversial issues utilizing good judgement
- Ability to use tact and diplomacy in resolving sensitive issues
- Ability to prioritize, work independently and time manage work assignments
- Ability to develop collaborative and innovative solutions around Employee Relations issues and Practices
- Seen as a trusted advisor and demonstrates ability to partner and influence others without direct authority when resolving employee relations matters, using a multi-HR-faceted approach to problem solving
- Strong leadership skills to lead and manage others
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, facilitation, and mediation
- Experience handling high volume investigations including field investigations
- Ability to prepare and present training programs and materials
- Ability to coach and develop leaders at all levels on effective employee relations
- Travel up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
- Working knowledge of distribution (warehouse) and transportation operations
- Ability to analyze data to identify trends or learning opportunities
- Excellent organizational skills and close attention to detail
- Experience driving clarity in ambiguous situations
