Chewy is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team at our headquarters in Plantation, FL! This is a key position on the team situated within the Strategic Finance function, where the candidate will be responsible for bringing strong financial acumen to high priority projects and analyses that span Chewy Accounting & Finance.  The candidate will also prepare ad hoc analyses and supporting documents for senior leadership as required.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build, maintain and improve financial models and supporting schedules on a regular cadence with a goal of driving improvements in financial performance
  • Collaborate in the preparation and consolidation of materials in support of quarterly Board of Directors meetings
  • Help define, project manage and drive to completion ad hoc assignments across Chewy Accounting & Finance as required by management
  • Establish positive relationships with business partners (e.g. Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Marketing, Merchandising, Pharmacy, Business Intelligence) to improve the efficacy of project work, enhance modeling accuracy, and help improve processes
  • Provide project management and materials creation support for town halls, all hands, and other channels where financial information is shared
  • Extract and analyze data from central databases using Hyperion, SQL, and Tableau
  • Synthesize large sets of data and produce concise outputs to convey recommendations and/or conclusions to leadership

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant, progressive finance experience
  • Sophisticated PowerPoint, data visualization, and document writing skills (Excel/PowerPoint visuals, white papers, Tableau dashboards, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills using advanced Excel functions (i.e. Lookups, Index Match, SUMIFS, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation skills
  • Familiarity with corporate financial reporting and planning processes
  • Ability to think creatively, self-start, work independently, deal with ambiguity, and meet tight deadlines / prioritize changing workloads
  • Proactive in solving problems and innovative in finding solutions

Bonus:

  • Experience in Big 4 accounting, financial consulting or banking
  • Familiarity with an e-commerce and/or retail business model
  • Experience with Hyperion SmartView, Tableau, Oracle ERP, SQL
