What You’ll Do
As a Financial Analyst Intern, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting strategic initiatives and ensuring financial and accounting objectives are met. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist with the month-end close process, preparing journal entries and reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records in line with Chewy’s policies
- Collaborate cross-functionally with team members and leaders to track financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and provide actionable insights
- Build and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning
- Partner with teams to support Sarbanes-Oxley controls testing and contribute to operational audits
- Assist Controllership with advisory roles on critical initiatives
- Prepare ad-hoc analyses and reports for senior leadership to drive key decisions
- Participate in strategic and annual planning processes to align business goals with financial outcomes
What You’ll Need
To thrive in this cross-functional role, you’ll need:
- Enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s program in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, or an Master’s/MBA program, with an anticipated graduation date of Spring 2026
- Foundational knowledge in financial analysis, modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with attention to detail and a natural curiosity for solving problems
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and senior leaders
- Advanced Excel skills
Bonus
- Familiarity with tools like SQL, Hyperion SmartView, Tableau, or Oracle ERP
- Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam upon graduation
