Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Software Engineer -DevOps located in Makati City, Philippines.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

• Consistently delivers innovative and complete solutions, driving them through design, planning, development, deployment and support that simplify business processes and workflows to drive business value

• Uses solid software development best practices and standard tools to ensure quality and maintainable digital solutions that include modularity, scalability, observability and integration

• Works on key projects and digital innovation initiatives following agile principals

• Collaborates with other product teams to develop and share reusable software components and services, implement consistent automated builds including managing test coverage, build schedules, and build qualities

• Scope of work includes, but not limited:

• Development using Ansible, .NET, Python and familiarity on Azure Services

• Foundational digital platforms and capabilities development system and security design and development

• UI / UX design

• APIs design and implementation across platforms and solutions

• Design and develop using data engineering, data integration and data management practices and tools

Selection Criteria:

- Agile Development: Knowledge of and ability to utilize formal agile methodologies, disciplines, practices and techniques for the delivery of new and enhanced applications.
- Application Design, Architecture: Knowledge of and experience with activities, tools and techniques for converting business requirements and logical models into a technical application design.
- Application Security: Knowledge of, and experience in system development lifecycle (SDLC) activities, tools, processes, technology standards and controls that lead to the planning, design, development, testing, deployment and operations of applications in a secure fashion.
- Software Engineering: Knowledge of, and experience in, the design, development and maintenance of computer software.
- System and Technology Integration: Knowledge of features and facilities for integration and communication among applications, data bases and technology platforms.
