Schwab's Wealth & Advice Solutions (WAS) organization drives our strategy to create an integrated Wealth and Advice Solutions business and prioritize the investments we make in them. Within WAS, Investment Offers & Solutions (IOS) is responsible for managing our third-party product marketplaces (Alternative Investments, Managed Accounts, Mutual Funds, ETFs, Structured Products, Fixed Income, Annuities & Insurance, and 529) as well as our proprietary Separately Managed Accounts. Our mission is to provide a positive experience for the Schwab clients that invest in these products, while growing a revenue stream which is vital to Schwab's overall financial health.

Within IOS, Managed Accounts Solutions (MAS) is responsible for the end-to-end offer management for our third-party and proprietary managed investing, primarily Separately Managed Accounts (SMA). To do this, we maintain a robust product offering (e.g. by developing new offers, enhancing existing offers, or adding resources to the platforms), develop new tools and research for clients, build relationships with third-party and proprietary asset management partners, and work effectively with internal partners and outside firms to create a strong positive client experience. Serving individual investors, registered investment advisors (RIAs), retirement plans, and other institutional clients, our Managed Accounts offers are a centralized and shared resource for the firm.

As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the client experience of enrolling and investing in a SMA. You'll lead projects and act as a subject matter expertise on initiatives related to this client experience and the risks we have to manage accordingly. These initiatives include addressing changing industry trends such as digitization and personalization, evolution of our offers and services and how we present content to clients for their understanding, improving internal business processes and operations related to the accounts, and managing our related responsibilities in an ever-changing regulatory environment. The Senior Manager will work closely with internal partners, and potentially external partners, to deliver client booklets and forms, disclosures and other presentation materials. You will also be responsible for internal procedures, communications and tools to deliver on our initiatives.

The successful candidate must be energetic and enthusiastic about offer / product management, project management, strategic problem solving and financial services. He/she/they will be a self-motivated, resulted oriented independent contributor. Key responsibilities include:

  • Execute a strong blend of project management, data analysis, critical and strategic thinking, storytelling and execution skills to deliver on various high-impact initiatives
  • Lead and partner closely with internal team colleagues, field enablement, technology and digital partners, operations, legal and compliance, and others in the planning and execution of key projects
  • Engage with internal stakeholders around the firm (e.g., client enterprises and client-facing teams), acting both as subject matter expert and change agent for better client and field interactions with onboarding and reduced risk
  • Build and maintain a strong network of business partners internally and externally to consult on issues and opportunities within the management of our platforms related to service and operations and modernization
  • Gain a deep understanding of client pain points, needs and their journey including operational steps, as well as our business strategy, and balance with regulatory expectations to deliver a best-in-class approach
  • Ensure processes and procedures supporting functions of client enrollment and maintenance are driving efficiency and scale, and minimizing risk to the firm

What you have

  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA and/or equivalent post-MBA level experience preferred
  • 7+ years of project management, product management, and/or client experience; 5+ years in financial services and advisory or managed accounts/SMA offers preferred
  • High degree of comfort dealing with ambiguity; comfort in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment
  • Excellent project management skills, including attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and work efficiently (independently and with teams), to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision
  • A strategic thinker with strong business judgment and analytical skills, who can problem solve as issues arise
  • A strong understanding of key partner functions such as operations, marketing, finance, supervision, legal and compliance, especially the regulatory environment, advisory and fiduciary duties
  • Robust communication skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated ability developing materials and effectively presenting to and persuading audiences
  • Deep expertise in the landscape of the financial services industry, especially as it relates to asset management and managed accounts, regulations and risk management; Series 24 a plus
  • Excellent relationship building and partnerships skills; a strong team player with the ability to weigh multiple perspectives, gain consensus, and influence key stakeholders
  • Strong user of PowerPoint and Excel

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
