The VCA team within Korea provides a comprehensive range of consulting services and solutions to our clients in Korea and Mongolia that address unique challenges in wide range of card business such as strategic growth, improving profitability, customer experience, digital payments and managing risk.

What a Sr. Manager, Client Consulting does at Visa:

We are currently looking for a Senior Manager to work as a key member of the project team, delivering the end recommendation with the project manager.

Typically, 1-3 months in duration, potential projects could include strategy developments for corporate growth, new business development and market expansion. They could also include digital transformation, marketing strategies, product design and launching, industry landscape evaluations to guide payment strategies, and enhancement of client customer experience along with its related processes.

As a senior consultant of project delivery team, the senior manager steps into the role of both project manager and module leader, depending on the product's size and nature. In the capacity of a project manager, the senior manager takes charge of the project from its setup, which includes tasks like preparing contractual documents, defining key questions by interaction with clients, planning project approach. They also develop project deliverables by synthesizing issue analysis and recommendations. These deliverables can range from proposals to interim or final reports. The senior manager also presents these deliverables to key clients. The full range of responsibilities are detailed below:

Responsibilities

On a project-by-project basis:

  • Collaborate with the project team to develop project proposals by clarifying the objectives, defining the scope, outlining deliverables and drawing input from clients, local client relationship managers, and functional teams.
  • Support project manager or lead a project as a project manager for project setup including the preparation of contractual documentation, stakeholder interaction, development of interview guides, and defining client data requirements.
  • Develop fact base by conducting client interviews, collecting and analyzing inputs such as client data, policies, as well as competitive industry and environmental information
  • Analyze Visa and client data to conduct benchmarking, identify performance gaps and develop improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with data science team members to leverage advanced data analytics capabilities
  • Identify solutions and recommendations that address client objectives and result in performance improvement; leverage relevant VCA methodologies, frameworks, and global best practices
  • Work with project team to design and deliver compelling presentations to illustrate findings, ideas, recommendations within consulting engagements; at times support implementation at the client site

More generally:

  • Identify and surface opportunities for client projects and submit for inclusion into account plans
  • Create, develop and maintain models, contribute to IP creation and standardized VCA offerings
  • Continuously build knowledge, surface new insights and produce thought leadership pieces that contribute to practice development and global best practice

Qualifications

Having already accumulated a variety of experience, you will be curious about the payments industry and keen to work alongside an experienced team in gaining a deeper understanding. You will be client driven, comfortable managing a project end to end with a support from PM and relishing the opportunity to work closely with clients to influence their future performance.

Specific skills and experience you will bring are
• Business level English proficiency
• Deep experience in payment, digital innovation, corporate strategy, or business management
• Experience in and passion for the power of analytics to inform and drive strategy and tactics, and proven ability to generate insights from data
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
• Excellent detail orientation, ensuring the highest level of quality/rigor in reports and data analysis
• Excellent communication skills, including strong oral and written capabilities
• Min. 7 years of work experience with min. 3 years of experience in consultancy and at least 1 year of module leader experience (or equivalent qualification).

In addition, you will ideally bring the following
• Experience in customer experience design (using human centered design / design thinking)
• An understanding of statistical analysis, modeling, scoring schemes, etc.
