We are seeking a transformational leader for our Centralized Talent Sourcing team. Our Centralized Talent Sourcing team is part of Talent Attraction, a Center of Expertise within Schwab's Talent Acquisition function. The scope of the Talent Attraction team includes Centralized Talent Sourcing, TA D&I Strategy & Programs, Employer Branding & Recruitment Marketing, New Hire Onboarding and Internal Mobility.

As a Senior Manager (People Leader), Centralized Talent Sourcing, you will play an integral role in driving the evolution of our talent sourcing model to scale to meet the hiring needs of the firm and to increase the reach and impact of our function. Our Sourcing Team is passionate about the relentless pursuit of passive talent, transforming leads to candidates and candidates to future Schwabbies. This role will be responsible for leading the Sourcing Advisors supporting our Technology and Corporate Functions' lines of business. This leader will also be responsible for driving the strategy and execution for our TA D&I Programs team as well as top of the funnel candidate programs such as Employee Referral Network, Schwab Labor Market Data and Talent Pipeline Management.

  • Strategic Leadership: Shape an impactful and compelling strategy for the Sourcing Team to drive efficiency and scale up our efforts to meet the hiring demands for a 34,000-person company. Design and lead transformational efforts that range from evolving long-term sourcing team strategy, defining KPIs, updating talent profiles, and building additional team capabilities, leading to increased hires by the Sourcing and TA D&I Team. Design and lead execution of yearly talent attraction strategies for aligned business units.
  • Planning and Execution: Define a clear course of action- anticipate change, adjust, communicate effectively and inspire action with your team and your internal clients. Able to define measurable and specific actions that will enable the Sourcing Team and top of funnel programs to meet strategic objectives. Drive accountability and commitment for our diversity efforts and overall results by leveraging effective change management tactics. Leverage data and analytics to assess Sourcing Team performance to deliver against hiring targets and KPIs.
  • Effective People Leader: Lead and develop a high performing team of Sourcing Advisors to achieve stellar results by cultivating a mindset of ownership and accountability. Inclusive leader that creates environments where all team members feel valued and welcomed. Develop, motivate, and recognize team members for their achievements. Set clear goal and expectations, tracking progress against the goals, ensuring feedback and addressing performance issues promptly.
  • Strong Collaborator: Develop effective partnership with other Talent Acquisition leaders and partners such as Business Leaders, HR Business Partners, and HR COEs. Proactively seeks feedback from TA Leaders on Sourcing Team performance. Develop strong business acumen for assigned lines of business, understanding talent strategy needs. Collaborate with TA Delivery Teams to implement sourcing strategies to attract the highest quality talent and establish a robust and diverse candidate pipeline. Engage with TA delivery teams to ensure hiring process are optimized to impact diversity hiring.
  • Talent Attraction Expertise: Effectively leverage all areas of Talent Attraction to deliver tailored strategies for candidate generation. Proactively research and stay current on innovative sourcing strategies and best practices while continuously seeking ways to achieve and measure ROI for our different sourcing channels. Build knowledge of competitor institutions and use market data and internal data to inform sourcing strategy. Ensure our employment brand is maximized across all sourcing channels and that all candidate touch points reflect Schwab's Employee Value Proposition.

What you have

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience leading and developing highly engaged Talent Acquisition teams with the ability to elevate team performance through continuous improvement and process enhancement.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to lead by modeling the values of courage, vulnerability, and accountability.
  • Experience with utilizing data and analytical skills to create, measure, and scale workflows to achieve hiring goals.
  • Proven track record of shaping strategy and leading with influence.
  • Successful history of building and cultivating strong authentic relationships with internal/external business partners to create alignment and support.
  • Subject matter expertise in designing and implementing best-in-class recruiting strategies associated with proactive sourcing, pipeline management, candidate assessment, diversity recruiting, labor market intelligence and needs identification.
