Your opportunity

At Charles Schwab UK, the Senior Investment Consultant is primarily responsible for helping new and existing UK resident Schwab clients to meet their financial needs by making the most of their engagement with the Schwab investment platform. This includes guiding people through the full range of services that are available to them as clients of Schwab and assisting them with accessing Schwab's US based client support services.

The Senior Investment Consultant is responsible for driving branch business development and client loyalty goals by providing an exceptional client experience for existing clients and prospects above a certain asset level. This is accomplished through proactive outbound business development calls to existing Schwab clients and assisting walk-in clients or prospects to understand and access available products and services. Senior Investment Consultants are also responsible for identifying and referring additional opportunities to US based Schwab representatives as appropriate. Senior Investment Consultants will regularly deliver presentations in the form of client webinars and branch seminars as part of Schwab's goal to help educate and inform investors on a range of relevant investing topics.

This role is located in the UK branch and is not available as fully remote.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.

What you have

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
  • Active & valid FINRA Series 7 or must be obtained within 120 days of employment
  • Proven success in providing excellent client service through consultation in the Financial Services industry strongly preferred
  • Results driven, highly motivated self-starter who possesses integrity, a strong work ethic and a passion for helping clients meet their financial goals and objectives
  • Ability to quickly build trust, rapport, and relationships with clients, prospects, and Schwab colleagues
  • Must have the desire to pursue appropriate professional designations
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize well
  • Must have strong professional presence and communication skills (verbal & written) including interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Ability to identify opportunities through needs based analysis, and position appropriate products and solutions
  • Ability to make professional sales presentations and be able to build credibility with prospective client base
