Managing Director, Schwab Advisor Family Office
Reporting to the Managing Director, Advisor Services, Chief Client Officer, the Managing Director, Schwab Advisor Family Office will be responsible for leading Schwab Advisor Family Office's new offer targeted at serving Single Family Offices and Multi-Family Offices. This individual will be a champion for the needs of the Advisor Family Office and act as a spokesperson for the offer to clients, prospects and the industry. In addition, the MD will have leadership oversight for the delivery of solutions to Family Office advisors and end clients as well as the execution of account management and service delivery. - Providing strategic leadership for the delivery of the overall Family Office offer including product integration and account management support while building out the foundational offer and long term strategic roadmap.
- Prioritize investments to achieve the greatest outcomes and oversee they are successfully executed and delivered.
- Delivering operational results through operating discipline including, headcount, budgets, financial metrics, maintaining a sound system of internal controls and risk management across the business unit
- Creating a center of excellence enabling sufficient focus on Family Office advisors and their unique needs while also creating an incubator to test new ideas across the business unit and in alignment with Westlake, Phoenix, Orlando and Denver Service Centers
- Collaborate with partners in legal, compliance and risk to establish policies and procedures to appropriately evaluate client solution requests, and empower the team to make business decisions in a timely fashion.
- Developing and delivering presentations to senior management and large, diverse audiences, such as the AS Leadership Team, AS Sales, AS Strategy, AS clients at IMPACT or other client events, and the Executive Committee while working closely with other senior leaders in various locations to drive consistent Service delivery.
- Leveraging market research, client surveys and analysis to understand the current and future needs of the segment and use these insights to drive innovative and forward-thinking solutions to help existing Family Office advisors grow, scale and prepare for the future and to help the business attract and win a larger share of the small advisor market.
What you have
Required Experience:
- A minimum 10 years' leadership experience in a product, marketing or strategy role with experience in a diversified financial services and advisory environment with a focus on Family Office.
- Working knowledge of investment and banking products, with a focus on client needs and effective distribution practices. Experience with how brokerage firms operate and able to assess the impact of initiatives and implement changes effectively.
- Deep experience leading client-facing, front line delivery organizations; high-level expertise in multiple job processes and extensive knowledge of related regulatory requirements.
- Series 7, 63, 9/10, and 24.
- BA/BS degree.

- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.
- Strong emotional intelligence/maturity and senior level executive presence.
- Highly collaborative and able to create followership; thrives on initiating, building and cultivating strong authentic relationships inside and outside the group; navigates and activates alignment across organizational silos.
