The Fixed Income Trading Operations Team Manager enables and helps the team deliver support to all our Fixed Income business partners, including Trading, Risk, Sales and Service, Settlements, P&S, external Contra dealers, Compliance, Technology partners, and other internal groups; and continue to build on and promote positive relationships within each of these groups and our Team. The position allows for active management and full engagement of the end-to-end operational flow throughout the life of an order/trade focusing on process improvement and problem resolution in a highly regulated environment.

The Fixed Income Trading Operations Team Manager requires a dynamic and engaged leader who can support, motivate, encourage, and develop a team with varied strengths. In this role, you will lead team members who are responsible for accurate, complete, and timely trade reporting to TRACE and MSRB, Treasury Auction processing, manual executions and/or trade adjustments, assist business partners with reconciliation / matching / settlement of trades and researching any applicable trade breaks, and trouble shoot and resolve ad hoc issues and projects. This is a fast paced, high volume, detail oriented, regulatory focused environment with various timely deadlines.

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day responsibilities of the team by keeping a strong focus on managing regulatory risk to keep exposure to a minimum
  • Align with business partners, management and technology to identify and report any issues and areas of potential risk discovered
  • Collaborate with key Fixed Income business partners to improve business relationships and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot impromptu issues which could include but not limited to trade reporting, Profit & Loss discrepancy, complex trade and settlement breaks, recuring trade errors, trade posting issues, etc.
  • Identify, understand, prioritize and escalate any and all known technology issues or improvements, and ongoing monitoring, tracking, testing and confirmation of fixes

What you have

To ensure that we fulfill our promise of 'challenging the status quo,' this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of operational experience in the brokerage or financial services industry
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • Series 7 license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Series 24 license strongly preferred and Series 53 (and possibly 52 depending on timing of obtaining the 7) preferred. A condition of employment will be considered for the thes licenses for individuals with Fixed Income exprience.
  • Experience and working knowledge of Fixed Income and industry regulations
  • Proficient technical skills, including knowledge of Microsoft applications, specifically Excel
  • Ability to think strategically beyond day-to-day operations and identify and optimize operational efficiencies or break down barriers the team is facing
  • Knowledge and basic understanding of IDW/SQL/Tableau for data queries and data visualization
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of employees within the organization
  • Strong people skills with the ability to develop and grow working relationships with internal business partners
  • Proven ability to embrace change and innovation
  • Positive attitude with a focus on team orientation
  • Desire to help and support individuals in developing their career

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
