Our HR team provides an exceptional employee experience to cultivate an engaged and productive work environment and superior company performance. Our goal in HR Shared Services is to support the employee experience by providing accurate and timely Benefit assistance to all employees.
As a Benefits Operations Specialist, you will partner closely with our Benefits team to deliver a seamless experience for our employees through the Employee Experience Guiding Principles, including the adoption and promotion of employee self-help tools, automation, and constant review of service levels. The specialist provides service to employees by resolving problems, offering solutions, taking corrective actions, and coordinating with other Benefit Specialists, as needed. There is also a focus on optimization of current processes and activities, to improve/enhance service quality and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities include:
- Utilize the Service Now case management system to efficiently resolve benefit cases with a focus on customer service and the employee experience.
- Investigate and resolve Benefit questions / challenges of various complexity, while working closely with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Effectively communicate HR / Benefit policies and programs and the ability to listen and explain sophisticated subjects.
- Responding to questions, resolving issues, and knowledgeable of the appropriate advancement path after triaging the request.
- Responding promptly to advanced Tier 2 employee benefit inquiries received via MyHR cases, or phone, further advancing to Tier 3 as needed.
- Reconciling/closing help request cases, recording details of inquiries, comments, challenges, and resolutions.
- Complete daily and bi-monthly billing processes for accounts payable and benefit providers.
- Use Workday to resolve benefit eligibility discrepancies identified via integration reports, benefit vendors and employees.
- Daily administration of Schwab's sabbatical program.
- Seeking continuous improvement strategies to identify efficiencies and streamline processes.
- Meeting strict target dates in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.
- Building agreement and partnership across HR.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on effective execution.
- Building collaboration and partnership across HR.
- Resolving problems, answering questions, providing/clarifying information, and coordinating with partners as needed.
- Supporting self-service and processing of benefit data, including pay impacting personnel data.
- Collaborating with Tier 1 Contact Center to assist with trend identification and education, as needed.
This is a hybrid position working out of one of our service center locations

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources and/or equivalent HR experience.
- 3-5 years proven experience with benefits programs, processes.
- Experience investigating and resolving benefit questions.
- Knowledge of Workday or other applicable HR systems.
- Excellent digital literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Experience analyzing Excel reports to identify trends and sort/record data.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with Service Now.
- Excellent communication skills, with ability to connect with employees, and external providers.
- High attention to detail with exceptional time-management skills and shown ability to handle initiatives simultaneously.
- Proactively adapting procedures to meet changing policies and government / state guidelines.
- Actively collaborating with HR Centers of Expertise (COEs) and HR program owners to shape the employee experience.
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
