Position Summary
The Scheduling Coordinator assists with the creation of the Master Schedule used for faculty assignments and course scheduling for all CNM locations with a data-driven, student-centered and degree-attainment focus. This position coordinates with all academic schools and Enrollment Management and Student Success to develop, review, analyze and verify the Master Schedule for each term. This position is responsible for consistently reviewing and updating the Master Schedule entries, running reports and gathering information about or related to the Master Schedule for the Scheduling Director.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists in developing and analyzing the faculty course assignment Master Schedule; assesses student scheduling requirements and preferences.
- Identifies issues with the academic schedule and recommends related adjustments.
- Utilizes forecasting tools and methods to assess short and long-term demand for student schedules.
- Formulates and presents schedule scenarios addressing programming needs.
- Audits the accuracy of current and draft class schedules.
- Supports the Scheduling Director with advising Education and Learning Division personnel in the development of the Master Schedule.
- Coordinates with the Enrollment Management and Student Success to ensure the accuracy of the class schedule.
- Maintains organizational requirements related to the Master Schedule.
- Serves as the primary point of contact regarding scheduling requirements and standards while assigning class sections to rooms and ensuring placement accuracy.
- Participates in the development of procedures and reports, and trains appropriate academic school employees in correct usage of the scheduling systems.
- Provides technical support to the personnel in the academic schools.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of related experience OR an Associate's degree.

- Experience interpreting data, analyzing trends, and drawing informed conclusions to guide decisions and improve operational efficiency.
- Experience with creating or managing schedules for people or facilities.
- Experience working collaboratively within diverse teams, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships across departments and with individuals in different roles within an organization.
- Experience working in higher education.
- Experience working with databases.
- Experience with tools such as Astra Schedule, Banner, the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), Smartsheet, and Workday Student Information System (SIS).
