The Senior Director of Product Management is responsible for all GPO Connect strategy that supports continuous digital enhancements and improved reporting for end user customers. This role will lead a product manager and team of product owners to execute on enhancing customer experience with Cencora solutions, implement customer training initiatives that will establish and increase end user adoption and utility of GPOConnect and other future solution

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts market research, customer feedback, and internal stakeholder input to identify customer needs, competitive landscape, and industry trends to inform product development strategies and roadmap, ensuring effective prioritization and resource allocation.
  • Delivers product enhancement/new product capability training for both GPO Membership customers and customer-facing sales teams.
  • Attends key customer facing GPO Meetings to deliver product updates and enhancement and continuously assesses product feedback and identify future needs.
  • Develops and executes strategic plans for new product initiatives, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams including IT, commercial excellence, marketing, sales, finance, and operations to ensure execution of product vision, drive successful product launches, and meet the needs of the end users.
  • Collaborates with various stakeholders to establish & monitor KPIs and OKRs for new products, ensuring measurable targets are set to evaluate success.
  • Supports user experience testing and provides feedback to technical team.
  • Develops communication process (and strategy) to share new releases and enhancements to key stakeholders.
  • Monitors product performance through data analysis and customer feedback; makes recommendations for enhancements or modifications as needed.
  • Stays updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement
  • Performs other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Broad training in fields such as business administration, business development or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor's degree program or equivalent work experience.
  • Requires a minimum of 12+ years of experience in business development, strategic consulting or other analytical work in pharmaceutical, biotech or related industries.
  • Expertise in managed care pharmacy management or pharmaceutical consulting preferred.
  • Requires knowledge of healthcare project initiatives: GPO (Group Purchasing Organization) and specialty physician pharmacy practices.
  • Requires experience in senior management role(s) leading a team.
  • Demonstrated experience acting as a strategic thought partner to teams.
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed environment and standing out as a successful collaborator.
  • Ability to analyze and improve sales processes and tools, including proposals

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to build a cohesive team, prioritize, communicate and motivate others around initiatives to achieve organizational goals.
  • Aptitude to interpret industry trends and competitive information and ability to think strategically, assess changing conditions, conceptualize, develop and lead the effort required to support change.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain relationships with other leaders, interact with all functional areas and levels of management to achieve results; ability to deal with confrontational issues in a positive manner.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate complex analysis into credible thematic presentations.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight schedules and work well with others.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Salesforce.com.

Salary Range

$152,500 - 235,180

This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
