Job Details

The Director, Global Compliance Investigations is responsible for leading, conducting, and managing global compliance investigations into violations of internal policies and applicable laws and regulations across Cencora's global enterprise. This role collaborates with Legal, Compliance, HR, and Senior Business Leaders to ensure fairness, transparency, consistency, and high standards in how we conduct investigations and promote an ethical and compliant work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads Cencora's Global Compliance Investigations program, including complex internal investigations into allegations of violations of Cencora's compliance policies and Code of Conduct.
  • Implements Cencora's global compliance investigations framework, reporting structure, process, and procedures in coordination with other functional investigations partners across the global organization.
  • Oversees Compliance Hotline and EthicsPoint reports, including anonymous cases.
  • Directs or conducts confidential investigations of varied complexity and scope, determines whether the facts and circumstances constitute a violation of law or regulation and/or potential violation of Cencora compliance policies or Code of Conduct, performs root cause analysis, and provides recommendations for remediation. Responsible for working with and managing outside counsel as appropriate.
  • Provides advice to cross-functional and business partners following an investigation, which may include modifying policies, enhanced training, coaching, or monitoring.
  • Exemplifies management responsibilities for one or more investigative professionals and is required to be an effective manager of his or her reports.
  • Adept at handling significant compliance projects, matters, and issues and should have excellent compliance legal skills and expertise.
  • Demonstrates strong decision-making capabilities and is proficient in being able to make business-oriented yet compliant recommendations to his or her clients.
  • Effectively multi-tasks and prioritizes competing tasks to ensure that work is completed in a timely and efficient matter.
  • Analyzes compliance investigations data and metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential areas of concern. Uses data to inform decision-making.
  • Complies with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 10% - 25% of the time.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Education:

Requires Bachelors degree. JD (Juris Doctor) preferred. Normally requires a minimum of ten (10) years directly related and progressively responsible experience in legal, compliance, and/or investigations.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Extensive US and global compliance and investigations expertise; ability to build a function.
  • Experience with EthicsPoint a plus.
  • Proven experience in working across a matrix.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry and regulations preferred.
  • Demonstrates strong critical thinking and expresses ideas clearly, concisely and logically.
  • Ability to make balanced and insightful decisions, clear problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others.

Salary Range

$98,200 - 151,360

This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
