The Online Community Intern will support the growth and engagement of the Celonis Community by helping create a valuable experience for our academic, customer, and partner audiences. This role plays an important part in fostering a vibrant, supportive environment where members can connect, learn in-demand skills, and share their knowledge of the Celonis platform. The ideal candidate is passionate about community building and eager to contribute to initiatives that enhance engagement across key touchpoints.

As part of the Community Engagement team, the intern will support global and regional initiatives that bring the online Celonis Community to life. The intern will gain hands-on experience in community operations, engagement programs, and content creation. This position is embedded within the Marketing and Operations team, which also includes Regional Marketing, Partner Marketing, Customer Experience, Digital Marketing and Marketing Operations. You will collaborate closely with colleagues from across Celonis, contribute to exciting cross-functional projects, and play an active role in helping users connect, learn, and grow within the Celonis Community.
The work you’ll do:
- Assist with the management of online community spaces, ensuring discussions are organized, content is up to date, and user questions are routed or resolved efficiently.
- Help prepare and publish community content that sparks interaction and delivers value - from how-to guides and event recaps to member highlights and expert tips.
- Work with stakeholders across functions—such as Marketing, Services, Product, and Ecosystem—to keep community content relevant and aligned with current priorities.
- Support community events by coordinating logistics, preparing promotional materials, and assisting with follow-up activities.
- Serve as a champion for our online community by offering guidance, answering questions, and helping users navigate key platform features and tools.
- Collaborate with the team to gather feedback from community members and help transform insights into ideas for improving user experience.
- Participate in cross-functional syncs and contribute to knowledge-sharing across the global community team.
The qualifications & experience you need:
- First experience in customer-facing roles, digital engagement, or marketing through internships, university projects, or extracurricular activities
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
- Interest in community building, user engagement, and digital platforms — ideally with hands-on experience in managing or contributing to online communities
- Strong organizational and planning abilities, with a proactive mindset and eagerness to learn
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and a high level of reliability
- Creative and solution-oriented approach to challenges, with a passion for improving user experience
- Confident communicator with strong presentation and writing skills
- Proficient in German and English (spoken and written)
