About the Role
As a CBRE Hotels Advisory Consultant, you will prepare draft deliverables for a large set of clients within their division. You'll be responsible for cooperation with team leadership in the advancement of the Hotels Advisory program for the division.
What You'll Do
- Assist senior team members in development of proposal responses and deliverables for client pursuits. May be responsible for small project engagements from pursuit through execution. Assist Senior Consultant and other senior team members in pursuing proposals. Aggressively pursues efficiencies and enhancements in all Advisory deliverables and makes recommendations to Senior Consultant and Director based on findings.
- Provide guidance to analysts, with strong emphasis on training, quality control and attention to detail.
- Coordinate with the line of business platform; i.e., subject area, geographic resources and experts able to support the needs of line of business clients. Maintain awareness of individuals and available resources within CBRE, both internal and external to CBRE Hotels platform, required to optimize client outcomes.
- Execute some intermediate level assignments from start to finish and assists Senior Consultant and Director in executing more complex assignments, including Market and Feasibility Studies, Acquisition Due Diligence, Operational Studies, among other offerings.
- Develop client and industry contacts, actively promotes Advisory services both internally and externally. Attend local industry conferences and events, and actively pursues opportunities for impactful client interactions within the scope and limitations of the Marketing Plan and with MD approval.
- Assist senior team members in their Division in improving quality of Advisory in accordance with special instructions and practices as follows: (1) Clear all Advisory proposals for adherence to policies and avoidance of conflicts. (2) Review procedures as to assignments in progress. (3) Review or arrange for the review of all deliverables prior to release. (4) Review work of analysts prior to final review by management
- Recommend data to be included in information source file. Assist senior team members in the pursuit of research topics for publication. Coordinate with senior team members to publish relevant content via email blasts, trade publications, social media, etc. Manage analysts' research efforts in preparation of Research projects.
- Cooperate with senior team members to see that follow-up plans are established to assist in obtaining continuing Advisory assignments. Assist in the promotion and publicizing of Advisory services. Participate in such outside activities as are deemed beneficial in advancing the Advisory, VAS and CBRE Hotels services of CBRE. Assist analysts in the division in their professional development, research techniques, methodology and client service initiatives required for advancing the Division practice.
- Recognized as a valued team member on a clear path to advancement and leadership position within the Division hotel team. Responsible for assisting team members in preparing for client communication during and after assignments to ensure optimal client outcomes.
- No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

What You'll Need
- Bachelor's Degree required, Master's preferred, in Hotel Administration, Marketing.
- 4-6 Years of experience, intermediate-level role in production, business development and mentoring.
- HSMA / CHM / Member of significant hotel associations such as AH&LA, CHA, or ISHC.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
- Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
- Track record of developing and maintaining good client relationships. Recognized as a future industry expert and has some history of operating at a moderate to high level of production with a strong growth trajectory. Exhibits leadership and management potential, and clearly demonstrates ambition for career advancement.
- Knowledge of hotel operations and investments.
- Some travel required (US) as is customary in the normal course of business for conducting Advisory assignments.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Hotels Advisory Consultant position is $60,000.00 annually and the maximum salary for the Hotels Advisory Consultant position is $66,560.00 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
