About The Role:

As a CBRE Valuation Funds Director, you will provide guidance and strategic development to a local or regional area of producers. You'll be responsible for the overall management of multiple institutional client accounts and growth of the Fund Platform including quality control, staffing, training and issue resolution. You will review work product of subordinates, train direct reports, participate in the development of the platform, and act as a single Point Of Contact for multiple fund clients.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage client relationships, timelines, staffing for a large number of assignments.
  • Coordinate quarterly valuation process on multiple accounts, collaborating with clients, appraisers, and internal collaborators.
  • Lead all valuation related calls, presentations, and panels internally and externally.
  • Provide feedback and chip in to the development and enhancement of the platform: processes, valuation models, appraisal templates, and data analytics tools
  • Provide formal supervision to employees. Oversee the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Provide feedback for potential needs of increased staffing. Lead all aspects of the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
  • Coordinate the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department timelines. Mentor and coach as needed.
  • Communicate with staff and senior management team, managing workflow with discretion and supporting critical initiatives.
  • Work with senior management to prepare a market budget and profit and loss statement. Support the execution of local and regional platform-wide sales and marketing.
  • Create and complete pivotal initiatives to meet the goals of the team. Identify risk with company policies and procedures. Engage with current clients and create new relationships.
  • Apply a robust knowledge of multiple disciplines, the business, and key drivers which impact departmental and cross-functional performance.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Persuade managers and other colleagues to act while being guided by the organization's functional business plans. Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers of divergent interests to reach a common goal.
  • Identify and solve multi-dimensional, complex, operational, and organizational problems leveraging the appropriate resources within or outside the department.
  • Significantly improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline.
  • Update job knowledge by tracking current real estate values, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations, and staying abreast of industry standards.
  • Identify new business opportunities, analyze client/market trends, and promote products and services to enhance the platform's market position.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Applicable Real Estate licenses or professional designations required.
  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, retention, training, development, coaching, mentoring, and measuring and rewarding performance is preferred.
  • Ability to lead the exchange of complicated and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems
  • Leadership skills to set, manage and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple department results within a function.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) solutions. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, Argus Enterprise, RockportVal etc.
  • Strong organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • High level math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the VAS Funds Director position is $200,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $250,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
