About The Role:

As a CBRE VAS Funds Consultant, you will prepare market value appraisals on simple real estate assets with supervision and oversight, training, and mentoring by a Funds Manager. You'll assist in the preparation of real estate appraisal reports, including entering data in the property database, cash flow modeling in AE. You will confirm data, conduct discussions with market participants, and perform additional research as necessary.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee analysts on daily workflow and data management.
  • Build and update Argus models for all property types with guidance from senior team members.
  • Prepare written market value reports from cover to cover with analytical guidance of a senior team member.
  • Prepare and complete analysis and research on simple appraisal assignments.
  • Analyze of past revenue and expense performance and attempts to project a stabilized operating statement.
  • Research market area and analyze current transactions and how they compare to the subject property.
  • Examine and analyze simple income producing properties and writes an analysis based on market comparisons.
  • Complete comparison analysis based on sales of similar properties with oversight from senior team members.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university required. Master's degree (MA, MS or MBA) preferred. A minimum of (3) years commercial appraisal experience. Institutional experience is a plus.
  • Certified General license or meaningful progress towards license preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
  • Requires average knowledge of financial real estate terms and principles. Basic understanding of approaches to value of real estate assets.
  • Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Must be proficient in Argus, MS Word and MS Excel. Excellent writing skills.
  • Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the VAS Funds Consultant position is $95,000.00 annually [or $45.67 per hour] and the maximum salary for the VAS Funds Consultant position is $120,000.00 annually [or $57.69 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
