About the Role:

As a CBRE Facilities Management Engineering Ops Sr. Manager, you will manage the team responsible for providing technical and operational support to the account staff.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They will provide support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Lead the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments and key partners to ensure that business needs are being met.
  • Review construction drawings, validate they meet the clients' specifications.
  • Ensure all critical maintenance activities for critical operations are being performed- UPS, Generators.
  • Implement CBRE's critical environment program to all critical facilities and Data Centers.
  • Review data and make recommendations for improvements to processes, procedures, and systems.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and standards and apply knowledge to drive innovation and growth.
  • Lead budgets and resources effectively, ensuring that all expenditures are supported and aligned with company goals.
  • Ensure the team follows compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own subject area, and how own field integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.
  • Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.
  • Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.
  • Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within the job discipline.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical/mechanical engineering is preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
  • Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Sr FM Engineering Ops Manager position is $165,000 annually [or $79.37 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Sr FM Engineering Ops Manager position is $175,000 annually [or $84.13 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
