The Data Center MEP Design Engineer (Senior Project Manager/SPM) leads multi-disciplinary programs and projects with numerous cross-functional teams for the client's data center portfolio. The candidate leads with strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure design experience, supporting program-wide initiatives. The SPM provides program level support for all subject areas related to specifically assigned data center MEP infrastructure design requirements.
What you'll do

  • Drive routine project meetings (kickoffs, weekly program, status review), manage project resources, and multiple concurrent projects to completion per chartered target dates, take meeting minutes and distribute.
  • Leads cross-functional project teams composed of R&D, Engineers, Operations, Quality and Safety.
  • Run multiple projects from inception through completion.
  • Team with stakeholders from different organizations to develop scope, technical requirements and execution plans for new projects (taking an ambiguous requirement and developing an executable plan).
  • Collect, analyze, and lead data from individual sites to generate reports.
  • Assist with the improvement of documentation related to process, MOPs, schedule templates, reports, and communication plans.
  • Assist with cost analysis for programs that require value engineering.
  • Supports Business Reviews and any preliminary or interim reviews related to the project through the reporting Technical Program Manager.

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
  • Experience with construction related to data center construction or heavy industrial work involving mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Recommended experience:

  • Technical Project Management or Coordination
  • Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Drawings, Hangouts, etc.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Scheduling application: Primavera P6 is an advantage
