About the Role

As a CBRE Shipping Services Office Associate, you will be responsible for all aspects of the mailroom operations for a building or campus.

This job is part of the Office Operations function. They are responsible for providing office support to a client, business function or individual contributor.

What You'll Do

Expertly pack and ship a variety of products: Handle hazardous, non-hazardous, biological, and equipment items with precision and care.

Ensure all packages meet safety regulations and company standards, are accurately labeled, and shipped promptly to their destinations, guaranteeing customer happiness and safety.

Maintain client property with utmost care: Ensure all items are handled responsibly and securely. Promptly report any lost or damaged items.

Follow all shipping standard operating procedures: Follow established protocols to ensure efficient and accurate shipping processes.

Adhere to routing guides: Ensure shipments are routed correctly according to company and client specifications.

Coordinate with couriers: Set up and retrieve shipments, maintaining strong communication with courier services to ensure timely deliveries.

Apply correct tariff codes: Accurately classify goods using the appropriate tariff codes to follow international trade regulations.

Stay informed of trade sanctions: Keep up-to-date with countries under trade sanctions to ensure compliance with international shipping laws and regulations.

Ensure all shipped packages are protected against damage.

Apply appropriate postage amounts and required identification to outgoing mail and packages.

Check daily and replenish all mail and postage supplies.

What You'll Need

  • High School Diploma or GED with 3-4 years of job-related experience.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • A comprehensive understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function is required.
  • Ability to evaluate and communicate unusual and/or complex content in a concise and logical way.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Advanced organizational skills with an inquisitive mentality.
