About the Role:
As a CBRE Process Improvement Manager, you will be responsible for process improvement initiatives. This job is part of the Continuous Improvement & Client Performance function. They are responsible for reducing the risk of defects in all processes.
This role is onsite in New York City a few days a week.
What You'll Do:
- Research and gain understanding of current processes. Formally document and maintain a roadmap for future process improvement opportunities.
- Manage project pipeline. Create and maintain project plan, business case and cost benefit trackers, training, and communication plan.
- Provide project updates to both clients and Sr management and resolve issues.
- Identify equipment and systems that can be modified or applied to improve operation efficiency, product quality.
- Manage compliance & governance program. Adhere to compliance with the Master Service Agreement.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
- Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.

What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Green Belt Lean Six Sigma Certification required.
- Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
- Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
- In-depth knowledge of Visio and Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is responsibility for project management services within an assigned client account to achieve the company's strategic business objectives. Key project delivery focus areas include scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk management.
This role is onsite one of the three locations. Branchburg, NJ, Raleigh, NC, or Indianapolis, IN. This person will be need to be at the client site and travel as needed to other client sites.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the performance, development, and retention of Associate Project Managers, Project Managers, and Senior Project Managers within your assigned work group.
- Projects and Project Managers within your assigned work group may be located across the continental United States, including but not limited to, states such as New Jersey, North Carolina, and Indiana.
- Ability to travel ~25% of the time is required.
- Promote and maintain an environment consistent with CBRE values including Respect, Integrity, Service, and Excellence.
- Responsible for ensuring your assigned work group develops, executes, and delivers a project portfolio that consistently meets established key performance indicators for the client account, while following both CBRE and client policies and procedures.
- Regularly provide project portfolio updates and reports to the Director of Project Management as it relates to project budget, schedule, risk, and safety metrics within your assigned work group.
- Consistently balance the needs of the customer, employee, and shareholder while meeting organizational objectives.
- Consistently embrace and promote a culture of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
- Recruitment of Associate Project Managers, Project Managers, and Senior Project Managers to successfully meet the requirements of your project portfolio.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a succession plan for the Associate Director of Project Management position.
- Direct management of high complexity / high risk projects within your assigned project portfolio.
- Ensure direct, indirect, and / or outsourced service providers and vendors provide consistent, high-quality services.
- Ensure team compliance with corporate and local standards and procedures.
- Manage and foster healthy relationships with external consultants and vendors while holding them accountable in delivering their scope of work in a timely and consistent fashion.
- Support CBRE initiatives by participating on steering committees as required. Additionally, ensure smooth transition of initiatives into your assigned work group.
- Ensure all projects delivered by your assigned work group adhere to local playbook standards and norms.
- Possess ability to create effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, and senior leadership.
- Possess ability to solve advanced problems resulting from complex situations.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a leadership role considered a plus, although not required.
- Intermediate level understanding of cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) within the pharmaceutical sector is preferred.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
- PMP (US and/or Canada) and LEED AP preferred
Please be advised that effective January 1, 2025, CBRE Project Management and Turner & Townsend will be consolidated into a single global business entity. As a candidate applying for a position, you should be aware that while your initial employment may be with CBRE Project Management, you will subsequently transfer to the newly formed entity that encompasses both organizations.
The minimum pay for this position is $110,000.00 annually and the maximum pay for this position is $125,000.00 The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
