About The Role:

As a Junior Paralegal, you will support the corporate legal and intellectual property team, primarily in the areas of legal entity maintenance, corporate governance, "Know Your Customer" requests and IP maintenance. You will collaborate with other shared corporate functions, including tax, controllership, treasury and the people team and support their legal entity and company structure inquiries.

What You'll Do:

  • Legal entity data entry and tracking in CBRE's online entity management database
  • Legal entity maintenance and corporate governance, including secretary of state filings, entity formations, draft LLC agreements, bylaws, board consents, assistant secretary certificates, etc.
  • Maintain legal files
  • Document review
  • Maintain global legal entity organizational chart
  • Support the business with "Know Your Customer," UBO, and RFP requests
  • Project manage certain cyclical legal audits and processes, including liaising with global teams to request data, compiling and synthesizing data and delivering a summary of the audit results
  • Work with internal teams to collect specimens of use for trademark applications and to determine whether to renew IP
  • Review and revise Power of Attorneys; Assist with notarizing and legalization of these documents
  • Work with internal teams to complete declarations and assignments for patent filings

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with 2 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Paralegal certificate preferred.
  • Experience in the areas of drafting board minutes and consents, assistant secretary certificates, and secretary of state filings.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including deadline management and ongoing internal tracking and follow-up.
  • Ability to manage and track multiple projects simultaneously with effective prioritization strategies and communication with team to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, etc.
  • hCue experience preferred.
  • Legal Tracker experience preferred.

Los Angeles Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Junio Corporate Paralegal position is $55,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $75,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
