About the role

As a CBRE Sr. Facility Manager, you will be the Site Leader who has oversight and runs all of the Facility Management operations for a 1.2 million sq ft premier Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facility in Concord, NC. This position is the leader of the teams that focus on all aspects of Integrated Facilities Management including but not limited to Hard Services (Facilities and Equipment Repair and Maintenance), Soft Services (Janitorial, Cafeteria, Pest Control, Grounds), Central Utilities Operations, and Material Handling. Additionally, this position maintains the client relationship and provides support to the client regarding all repairs and investment plans.

What you'll do

Lead teams in providing Hard Services (Facilities and Equipment Maintenance), Soft Services (Janitorial, Cafeteria, Landscaping), Central Utilities, Material Handling.

Lead the team through the hiring process required to build up a staff composed of Skilled Technical Personnel as well as Supervisors and Managers.

Provide formal supervision to staff members along with leading the training and development of the team.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide mentoring to team members.

Oversee the recruitment and hiring of new employees.

Coordinate and lead the team's daily activities by establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff.

Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.

Coordinate & manage team to facilitate repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.

Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.

Support large and high-profile capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports either directly or via CBRE Project Managers.

Perform facility inspections and quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations. These sites will be FDA regulated.

Identify and implement operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.

Create environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.

Develop and maintain vendor relationships and contracts. Lead all aspects of third-party services performed by these vendors.

Review and approve purchase orders for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for Facilities Management services and projects.

Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE (Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence) values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.

Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.

Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.

Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within operations.

What you'll need

Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver's license required. Facility Management certification preferred.

Life Sciences Leadership experience in a Manufacturing environment is preferred.

Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus.

Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.

Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and balance problems.

Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets.
