About the Role:

The Sr Strategy Analyst in the Corporate Strategy Group will work directly with senior members of the team, to help CBRE drive evidence-based decisions on key questions that impact our business. This person will be an integral team member in delivering and driving unmatched insights in sprint projects that answer strategic and tactical questions, which when answered and implemented, have a meaningful impact to the firm. The role requires someone with a multidisciplinary background, a passion for data and insights, a creative mindset, and an ability to stay focused in a multifaceted environment.

This role is part of the Corporate Strategy function. They are responsible for developing strategies to ensure each functional area of the organization contributes to the company's success.

What You'll Do:

  • Complete company and industry research as well as delivering insights on new trends and developments crafting the future of global commercial real estate industry.
  • Run financial/statistical models and data analysis as well as visualization of:
    • Internal data, Finance, Research, data from Lines of Business/Segments (e.g., Transactions, Valuations, Property Management, Outsourcing and Real Estate Investments).
    • External data, Industry reports and data, Wall St. models/data and data from other industries/companies.
    • Alternative data, e.g., geolocation data, consumer spending/payments data as well as data sourced from expert networks as part of specific projects.
  • Work closely with the leadership team and partners in other Segments and Corporate Functions like Finance, Research, Corporate Development/M&A and Corporate Strategy.
  • Financial analysis including running models and projections on a wide range of topics related to Strategy work.
  • Prepare presentations that deliver key insights and explain the process/approach/model to get to those insights in easy-to-understand language.
  • Participate in time-bound projects that help the Company frame the right questions on a variety of subjects (e.g., Core Operations, Technology Innovation, M&A, ESG, Business Modernization etc.), study those questions backed by data and mental models, drive consensus, and arrive at a particularly impactful point-of-view.
  • Help the Group build and maintain effective access to libraries and databases (internal and external).
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned within a lean group setting to continuously outperform and exceed expectations.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Economics, Business, Data Science and/or Business Analytics with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience with Tableau and/or Power BI desirable.
  • Prior experience in Investment Banking, Management Consulting, Private Equity or Hedge Funds will be preferred.
