About The Team
Buying a car is a major, exciting purchase for customers which involves many steps and decisions; finance and ancillary products being key parts of the customer buying experience. The Financial Services and Products (FS&P) team is responsible for the strategy and operations of our retail finance platform and the banks and finance companies integrated into it, as well as our ancillary product offerings such as our Extended Service Plan (MaxCare) and Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) products. CarMax ancillary product offerings are key profit drivers and are critical to ensuring our customers feel comfortable with their purchase and are protected throughout their ownership experience.

Work Location and Arrangement: This role will be based out of the Richmond, VA Home Office and have a Hybrid work arrangement
Work Authorization: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
About The Role:
As an Analyst II / Senior Analyst on FS&P, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to challenges in the ancillary products space. You'll work closely with both internal and external partners to support the strategy and operations of our MaxCare and GAP products, with the ultimate goal of offering our customers value-add products and delivering business results to our bottom line.
Responsibilities
• Product Strategy: Support and develop new business opportunities that will drive customer value, growth, and competitive success for CarMax in the face of shifting consumer demand.
• Analysis: Work closely with CarMax business analytics teams to measure product performance, design product test scenarios to drive growth, and create business recommendations to senior leadership.
• Partner Management: Help manage FS&P's external business partners that administer our ancillary product offerings with operational changes and strategic growth initiatives.
• Collaboration & Innovation: Work closely and collaborate with associates across CarMax, including Product, Technology, Sales, Operations, and others to represent FS&P, champion FS&P's strategic initiatives, and bring our product offerings to life in our stores and online.
• Functional Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on CarMax's ancillary products business in order to support and influence cross-functional initiatives and external business partners.
• Project Management: Design, manage and execute project plans to support both operational projects and strategic cross-functional programs.
Basic Qualifications
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with leadership skills to motivate and influence others across all levels of the organization. External relationship management experience preferred.
• Ability to leverage reporting to manage and monitor the performance impact of innovation and testing.
• A fast learner with solid business acumen with a track record of thriving in a fast paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environment.
• Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 4+ years of professional experience in a relevant field
Preferred Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or product management
• 1+ years of partner or relationship management
• High proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
