We are looking for a creative, analytical Senior Associate Search Engine Marketing Strategist to help manage paid search marketing efforts for our retail bank division. This role will be responsible for overseeing and driving the execution of our paid search campaigns while supporting a cross-functional, cross-platform roadmap to accelerate our digital marketing efforts. As a critical contributor to a rapidly growing digital marketing program, the associate will work closely with internal teams and agency partners to campaign launches, A|B testing, creative and landing page development, campaign optimizations, and process improvements. The associate will also be the expert in Google, Bing, SA360, Google Analytics and will stay on top of paid search industry trends and best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day to day operations of paid search campaigns on collaboration with agency partners; includes budgets, pacing, reporting, optimizations, testing agenda, campaign launches, etc
  • Daily monitoring of paid search performance trends to identify opportunities for campaign improvement and optimizations that support business goals and KPIs
  • Drive testing agenda to inform bidding, targeting, creative, & landing page optimization that engage consumers and drive business results.
  • Present and share results of tests and SEM initiatives cross functionally with partner teams
  • Coordinate across internal teams including analytics, data science, ad tech, creative, legal, compliance, site, integrated marketing, and product to execute end to end SEM strategies supporting new product launches and initiatives
  • Partner with manager to translate strategic vision into tactical solutions and results - support channel planning and influence strategic recommendations to drive long term growth
  • Executional excellence; Ensure campaign execution adheres to legal and regulatory requirements
  • Keep a pulse on industry trends, competitor shifts, best practices to understand the competitive landscape and drive channel innovation

The ideal candidate:

  • Hands on SEM experience working with large budgets across multiple platforms
  • Passion for data and using analytics to make decisions
  • Demonstrated "Self-starter" with strong organizational skills, ownership mentality, ability to prioritize workloads, and fast learner of new digital marketing and SEM-specific technology tools
  • Solid understanding of performance marketing, and customer acquisition, knowing what channel levers to pull in order to meet KPIs
  • Highly effective communicator with excellent presentation abilities; comfortable presenting in front of large audiences
  • Comfortable working with large data sets in Excel / Google Sheets + familiarity with common performance marketing metrics
  • Detail-oriented with strong prioritization skills, managing multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines while maintaining a high level of excellence

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience
  • At least 3 years of experience managing SEM accounts
  • At least 3 years of experience in planning, execution, and analysis of paid digital programs
  • At least 2 years experience with marketing automation (Marketo, Eloqua, Hubspot or Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
  • At least 2 years of experience working with Office and Google Suite products
  • At least 2 years experience with website analysis using analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, or Adobe)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years experience managing SEM accounts
  • 3+ years of agency or agency management experience
  • 3+ years of marketing experience in financial services
  • 3+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment with a track record of effectively working autonomously and navigating ambiguity
  • AdWords or Bing certification
