Overview

The Marketing leader in this role is responsible for developing and executing industry-leading marketing strategies that drive measurable growth for Capital One's Capital Markets and Investment Banking businesses, including TripleTree and KippsDeSanto. This role will have oversight of the continually evolving marketing strategies of our leading M&A advisory businesses in their respective markets - healthcare and aerospace, defense, government services, and enterprise technology organizations. This role leads a high performing team in creating compelling content, thought leadership and client experiences that demonstrate our expertise while partnering across divisions to address advanced client needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with Commercial Bank's vision to be the top middle market bank and drives growth for Capital Markets and Investment Banking businesses
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership across Commercial Banking to ensure alignment with strategic priorities and business objectives
  • Lead a team of marketing professionals, providing direction, coaching, and development to ensure high performance and career growth
  • Lead execution of industry-leading marketing strategies, campaigns, and thought leadership content that establishes Capital One as a trusted advisor in the Capital Markets and Investment Banking market areas we operate in
  • Partner with Capital Markets, Investment Banking, and other Commercial Banking divisions to identify cross-sell opportunities and create integrated marketing approaches
  • Leverage and enhance performance metrics to measure marketing effectiveness and ROI across Capital Markets and Investment Banking
  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing, External Communications, and other enterprise partners, leveraging enterprise capabilities and strengths, to drive business objectives
  • Demonstrate ability to develop and execute industry-leading marketing strategies that drive business outcomes
  • Drive innovation in marketing approaches, leveraging data and insights to continuously improve effectiveness
  • Ensure all marketing activities adhere to risk and compliance requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • At least 10 years of experience in marketing
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial services with a focus on capital markets, investment banking, or B2B marketing

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Charlotte, NC: $181,800 - $207,500 for Director, Marketing Mergers & Acquisitions

McLean, VA: $200,100 - $228,400 for Director, Marketing Mergers & Acquisitions

New York, NY: $218,300 - $249,100 for Director, Marketing Mergers & Acquisitions

Richmond, VA: $181,800 - $207,500 for Director, Marketing Mergers & Acquisitions

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
